We visited this traditional pub for Sunday lunch. The barmaid was friendly and helpful. My Hubby had roast beef, yorkshire pud, roast potato, mashed potato, peas and gravy. I had roast turkey, stuffing, roast potato, mashed potato, peas and gravy. We shared a platter of veg (carrots/cabbage/cauliflower/brocolli). Hubby then had sticky toffee pud and custard and I had caramel apple... More

In a world where arty, portentous food is every where. Here is somewhere that stands out because of its ordinariness. This is good food, no this is great food, served hot, and plenty of it. We were only passing through so unlikely to return, but oh do I wish there were places like this near home. Well done!

Wasn't the fastest service even though the restaurant was pretty much empty but when the food arrived it was well worth the wait. The portions were enormous!! I really love a... More

Called in today on my way back to my holiday home nearby. Was given a warm welcoming greeting by friendly staff, shown the specials board and the menu book. My food was ordered along with a drink and within ten minutes my dinner was in front of me. Highly recommended and I'll be visiting again in the future.

Came as live nearby and never visited Nick the chef recommended the curry of the day which was a lamb curry and wow it was fantastic even my wife loved it. We will definitely be back again, and we recommend it to anyone very well priced. There is ample parking and great views.
