What an incredible place! Grand Isle Resort & Residence is a nature and outdoor pursuits lover’s dream! It’s also perfect for those seeking privacy and comfortable luxury. I love working out and jogging so this stay was incredible. I jogged the Emerald Reef Golf Club twice a day, sunrise and sunset. It is a spectacular experience, the green golf turf and emerald / sapphire / crystal turquoise water hues, contrasting with the rugged and powder white coastlines … it’s a visual you will never forget. The golf course envelopes the property and is an 18-hole championship golf course designed by legendary PGA pro Greg Norman! The hotel’s 24/7 gym is awesome too! It’s stocked with every piece of equipment you need, has water and towels too. I was able to stay on top of my fitness while indulging on the delicious food and beverage options the hotel has to offer. I loved the architecture of the property, it combines some of my favorite aesthetics, Classical meets Caribbean-Colonial. The loggias throughout the property even add a touch of Spanish / Balinese architecture too. It’s just a beautiful place. You feel luxurious, calm and comfortable. It’s just right. The accommodations are spacious and are attached villa style, the interiors are bright and airy with high ceilings, excellent finishings and enhanced with seaside costal furniture & decor. Our Lucayan Villa was impressive with a double height foyer. It included three bedrooms - two on the ground floor and the third on the second. The living spaces (family room + desk + dining + expansive kitchen) are on the second floor, a smart design move as it allows guests to enjoy the views and immense natural light - while lounging within the larger spaces of the villa. I could spend hours relaxing in the living spaces. We ate at 2/3 of the hotels restaurants - 23° North Beach Club - a fine dining grill house experience and Palapa Restaurant, Grand Isle’ Poolside F&B venue. Both were excellent options, I enjoyed the Calamari & Jerk Chicken Cobb Salad at Palapa. At 23° North Beach Club I tried just about everything on the menu! The mains are composed of land and sea options; what I loved most was you had options on how it was prepared and then you could choose from endless sauces to crank up the flavor! 23° North Beach Club‘ ambiance is so charming, it’s perfect for families and romantic experiences too. Kim or server was FANTASTIC! Knowledgeable, pleasant, prompt and on top of things from start to finish. Great service always enhances Food & Beverage experiences, and she did just that! Ok let’s talk about the beach. I’ve travelled the world over, but there’s nothing like Exuma blues, the water has a halo affect, glowing throughout the day and particularly at sunrise and sunset. There is very little seaweed within Emerald Bay so the blue goes on uninterrupted for miles and miles. It is nature at its very best. Be sure to visit the beach throughout the day because it changes and every time you see it, it’s mesmerizing . Overall a 10/10 experience - great food, ambiance, service, architecture, landscapes and so much more. I’m ready to return! Thank you to Dean Spychalla (GM of Grand Isle Resort & Residences) and team for making our stay one for the books! To anyone thinking of staying, BOOK NOW and thank me and yourself later.…
My family and I spent a wonderful weekend at Grand Isle in Exuma. We found the service at the Resort to be exceptional, starting with check in, and was maintained throughout the facilities. We visited both restaurants on site, Palapa and 23 North, but our favorite was 23 North; the service was great and the food was excellent. We also enjoyed the spacious, beautiful layout of the 3 bedroom Villa over- looking the beautiful golf course and marina. I highly recommend Grand Isle Resort.
This is an awesome place!!! A truly one of a kind experience… Our villa was beautiful and spacious with a great view of the ocean and golf course. We were also very impressed with the dining and friendly service. Definitely will be coming back.
Our family visited Grand Isle, a family of 7. We had a beautiful time! The villa was very well decorated and clean throughout. The beds were all very comfortable. It was spacious, private, and the views were beautiful. We really loved having the beach right in our back yard. The restaurant “23 North” was great with excellent service from Kim. The food not only was presented well, but tasted delicious. We will definitely return. It was a great way to celebrate Mother’s Day with the family.
My husband and I just enjoyed a tremendous stay we had at the Grand Isle. We just got back from a week in a one bedroom villa (which is very spacious) and could not have been happier with our vacation. The staff just went out of their way to be helpful and they are all so very friendly. What a tremendous attitude of service and joy they exude! We really enjoyed our meals at 23º North and Alvin is just a gem of a bartender. Rodrique and Xanthia were excellent servers and made our time there feel like we were part of the family. The popcorn shrimp and conch fritters were to die for as well as the margaritas! We loved the upscale ambiance and cocktails overlooking the beach and pool. Palapa restaurant overlooking one of the pools was lovely too and my husband was a big fan of the piña coladas and pork sliders. The villa itself was huge, well decorated, and so comfortable. We haven't slept so well in a long time. It was so quiet at night and we loved the oversized bathroom and big living/dining areas and kitchen. It was actually a very livable apartment. I loved all the Occitane amenities -soaps/body wash/shampoo/conditioner and loads of fresh towels. We didn't want to leave at all. The groundskeepers do a fabulous job keeping the place blooming with beautiful flowers and palm trees. The pool areas were so beautiful and there is so much space that we never felt crowded. We even saw sea turtles swimming down at the beach, which was a lot of fun. The resort is located on one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. In short, we would love to come back and bring the whole family!…
My husband and I went to Grand Isle for vacation and fell in love with some of the folks who work there! A BIG hug to Talia in the gift shop! She is an Angel on earth, and so helpful! Alvin at 23 North…he is a sweetheart, and makes the absolute best homemade mojitos, and Aaron at Palapa is a kind thoughtful person as well! Lucky us for being able to meet these fabulous people!
Pretty place. Nice condos. Good beach. Wifi is solid. Awesome fitness center. Water is amazing. Golf course nice. Beach toys and gear is great. Food is inedible. Worse than bar food at restaurant called Pallapa. horrible. The beach bar has a grill and that grilled chicken was awesome for lunch. You must eat at 29 degree North restaurant for dinner every night or go off property. We took a cab to CocoPlum restaurant and it was amazing!! Super short taxi ride.
My friends and I rented a 3 bedroom villa. Extremely comfortable, fully equipped, fantastic space. The resort beach is beautiful, with chairs, towels and service. The restaurant is not so great, very americanized food, but that is the normal on the island. You can rent a boat on onsite marina. I considered this the best thing of the trip ! The Cons: There's practically NO wifi in the villa, so if you come to work part time... DON't We called the manager and although they sent someone, we still went on with no wifi.
This resort is a family favorite and we just returned from our 3rd visit. We were in a 3 bedroom ocean front unit....and it was perfect for us! The staff is the best...always welcoming, friendly and responsive. The food and service at both restaurants and bars was great and lots of fun. Great addition with the restaurant, bar and pool at 23 North. And, of course, the beach is the very best!
Top notch beautiful facility. Very family friendly, accommodation are beautiful and well equipped. Associates were attentive and supportive of all needs. While the Resort was busy it never felt over crowded. The beach is stunning as well as the pools. We can’t wait to visit again! Thank you GIR!
