We were looking for a nice place for dinner and found it at Luna Azul. The menu was great and our dinner for all four in our party was fantastic. The owners and staff were great and very helpful. Would highly recommend this restaurant and wish we had planned to stay at one of their really cool rooms.

We spent 3 weeks traveling around Costa Rica, and stayed in 7 different places around the country. Luna Azul stood out as our favorite hotel for so many reasons. The owners Rolf and Andreas are wonderful. They were generous with helpful information, hand-drawn maps to help us find our way around, organizing tours. The setting is remarkable; with a view...

Have just returned from a short stay at this wonderful boutique hotel in Ostional . Being a resident of Costa Rica I am a bit blasé about the beauty of my adopted country ( as I live with it daily ) but , I must say the setting of Hotel Luna Azul is remarkable . I have a guest visiting...

There are not enough stars to give this hotel the rating it deserves. We began our 3 week journey staying at Luna Azul and hated to leave. Our room (the Banana room) was lovely and private with a beautiful patio nestled in the jungle. We could hear the howler monkeys every morning and evening as if they were next to...

I honestly don't know where to start...we LOVED this hotel and the whole Ostional area. We spent 3 nights in a fabulous bungalow with outdoor shower/bathroom and lovely view of the jungle. One night we sat on deck and watched an amazing lightning storm that was just so darn cool! We drove down from playa langosta and the dirt road...

A small boutique hotel (bungalows) in the middle of the jungle and 200 meters from the beach. Fabulous bungalows, balcony inside the jungle (yep, animals of all sorts around), excellent service, excellent infinity pool. Fabulous restaurant (in good quality and ambience).

We have just returned from a two week stay in Costa Rica and Hotel Luna Azul was our last stop. It is a beautiful, small hotel (only seven rooms) and the hosts, Rolf and Andreas, are really charming and helpful. They will arrange any trips that you need and really help you to enjoy your stay there. The rooms are...

Just stayed here with our 2 boys (9 and 11). Bungalows spacious enough for family. Great location. Nice pool and grounds with lovely ocean views. Rolf and Andreas very helpful - lots of great advice on where to visit and booked turtle tour. Our boys loved borrowing the boogie boards. Breakfast included and very good. Had dinner here 2 nights...

Everything about Luna Azul is faultless – from the beautiful location, lay-out and design of the hotel/lodges through to (and especially) the brilliant hospitality offered by Andreas and Rolf. At the end of what had been at times a challenging three weeks in Nicaragua and Costa Rica we could not have found ourselves in a better location; Luna Azul is...
