I didn't stay in one of the two bungalows available, but we went there for dinner 2 nights in a row. Everything is delicious - especially the tuna and pasta dishes - it's amazing what they can create in the middle of nowhere. The hosts also had fine wine on hand, all reasonably priced. They can even make espressos! I've...

Very tasty quality food priced accordingly. Have a beer and Italian inspired cuisine under the rancho on the beach while using the wifi. The owners are a friendly Italian couple always welcoming us with a smile and great service. We ate many different items from the menu over several days and all were great: lobster with linguini, omlettes, zucchini and...

My girlfriend and I stayed here in March 2013. We looked online and both agreed Boom Shiva sounded like the perfect place. We found out the truth the same night we got there. There was no cheese for the pizza we were both in the mood to eat so we went next door to another hotel that was having pizza...

I spent about 10 days in Cambutal visiting a friend. I did not stay at this resort, but ate there several times. Not only is the view from the dining area fantastic, but the people are so friendly and the food is fantastic. I didn't expect to find authentic Italian food on this outer peninsula of Panama, but it's there....

Really good food, the wonder Daniel is a great cook and host, highly recommend stopping by when in Cambutal. I did not stay at the property as a guest but did look at the cabanas which looked good and are right in front of the surf.

Not a lot of options, only two bungalows. They look inviting, but mattress on the floor in the loft not so good. bathrooms small and poorly lit, suicide showers were barely adequate. Some of the food was really good, great breakfast one of the days, had to hike to another hotel to get coffee in the morning the other day....

Boom Shiva is truly a hidden gem! While out surfing and birdwatching, we found this hotel and it was like water in an oasis! The italian staff are WONDERFUL, very attentive and make THE most wonderful fresh pasta, cheese and pizza! What a perfect way to spend a vacation! One of the best parts was the Olive Ridley sea turtle...

“Only two little bungalows and they were pretty much identical. Some friends stayed in the unit on the right as you face the beach and had problems with insect bites that we did not have.”
