Beautiful hotel right on the beach, nothing around it. You have to ride a dirt road but it worth it. We saw so many crabs, birds and butterflies at the beach and around the hotel. Water was clean, calm and warm.

Thanks for your review. We enjoy the freedom that "having nothing around it" gives our guests.

We had a fantastic 3-night stay at Cocomar Beachfront Hotel. After talking with friends who had visited Manuel Antonio we decided to avoid the crowds and chaos of the Manuel Antonio/Quepos area and stay a little bit north of there near the Playa Palo Seco. This was a great decision for us - we (family of four, two kids 10...

We stopped here briefly to dip in the Pacific and we enjoyed the chilled vibe. Rooms had everything we needed and beautiful sea views. The beach was amazing with very warm seas (in April) and very few people, just a few meters from the hotel. The hotel pool and jacuzzi also served us well in the local heat. The restaurant...

Hi and thanks for the positive review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We too love our Manager Chad. And by the way we will investigate the WiFi issues.

We loved our 2 night stay here. The beach (a few yards away) seems endless and has incredible sunsets. It's perfect for walking or running, and we did both. The hotel is very nice. The unit is big enough, has nice views and is very clean. Everyone enjoyed the breakfast including my gluten free wife. The pool is small but...

Pros: Beautiful well managed property and Rooms , on the beach, private-like - very few people on the beach - no crowds. Very serene and beautiful beach. Note:Darker sand, not white like Mexico. Much nicer time here at cocomar, than driving down to the totally crowded Manuel antonio beach where you spend money to buy ticket and more for parking....

I stayed here with my family of 4 for two nights and I am still not sure how I feel about this place. The room was clean and nice enough. The pool area was very nice and my kids enjoyed it immensely. They had a few balls that you could borrow from the front desk which was a nice touch....

Hi and thank you for a helpful review. Let me start with the ocean. Yes most of Costa Rica has riptides that can be dangerous and at reception we should be providing a caution and written material about how to handle a tide. We will check to make sure this is being done. We will also have a discussion with...

We needed to spend the night in the area of Quepos. This property was a great deal. The biggest challenge was finding this place after dark, try to get there while there is still daylight. The beach across the street goes on for miles in both directions, with soft sand. The rooms were simple yet satisfactory, the breakfast was delightful...

Thanks for a generous review. We are certainly glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for reminding guests that at night, if it is your first time, the road is a little dark and arriving by day is a good idea.

We picked this hotel because it had good reviews and the pictures were amazing. We arrived to a hotel that seems to need alot of TLC. Looks much better in the pics. The service was okay and so was breakfast. The beach was beautiful as always but it wasn't worth the dirt road drive or the cost of the hotel.

Literally off the beaten path with a good 5 miles of unpaved road driving. But the location is beautiful. Breakfast was excellent and the staff, very friendly. The beach is right across the street and Manuel Antonio is about a 35 mts drive. We loved coming back to the peace and quiet after a busy day of excursions. Our boys...

Anything from a standard hotel room to a full 2,200 sq ft. living area with full kitchen and dining area. Isla Palo Seco is still one of the undiscovered authentic beach destinations unspoiled by loads of tourists, yet has a local community to fulfill basic needs while vacationing.
