The staff is really friendly. Prices are the same as the majority of restaurants on that beach, but the portions are larger. I struggled to finish their fish barbecue, that had 3 more items than the place next door for instance. The food is yummy, I spent 11 days on the island and ate there at least once a day. The Khmer food is proper proper. Their WiFi was the best on that beach as well. They aren't too pushy to lure you in, they don't make you feel uncomfortable when it is time for you to leave. I stayed there reading for hours.

I booked this hotel on reading the reviews that it was top rated ...boy was that wrong! To echo recent reviews the sea front bungalow was absolutely filthy and the service from the staff (all from the Ukraine) was non-existent on top of being miserable. We left a day early!

If I could give this place 0/5, I would, there was absolutely nothing right with it. The owners/managers are the most miserable hosts I’ve ever encountered. Instead of a warm, smiley welcome from local Cambodians, we were faced with sullen, miserable and at times, aggressive Ukrainians. The atmosphere in the main reception area is the most unwelcoming in this whole bay. Our room was disgusting, like something from a war zone. For the high price you pay, the amenities are extremely basic, old, rusty and unclean. The mosquito net had huge holes in it, nor was it big enough to tuck in so that every time you turn over in bed, the net goes with you. The thin sheet you’re given to sleep under is not sufficiently thick enough (the a/c is either on full blast or off), nor is it big enough to cover the whole body- I’m only 1.65m. The bathroom is awful beyond belief. Not only does it look like something reclaimed from a garbage truck, it’s not separate from the sleeping area, so you get plenty of drainage odours. The towels provided were smelly too, they hadn’t been washed properly. Breakfast was awful. The coffee was utterly putrid, as was the tea, which also had tea leaves floating in it, so it was undrinkable on two counts. The beach itself is beautiful. All the other restaurants we ate in were fine, it’s just this place that needs a hell of a shake up and some staff with a vague idea of hospitality.

HORRIBLE - READ BEFORE BOOKING! This was one of the worst hotels I've been. I can't believe this place has such high ratings so far. I visited in January 2020 and it was absolutely disgusting and unpleasant. - YELLOW SMELLY LIQUID was coming down from the ceiling in several points of the room (see pictures) wasting clothes and bags - the beach was dirty (rubbish in the sand, and once even DOG ESCREMENTS) - found a big COCKROACHE in the room - the description said air-conditioned room, but the "air-condition" was a bad fan and two holes in the wall - bathroom has NO DOOR and NO WALL, zero privacy - we had to wait 3 HOURS for our check-in - for 2 people and 4 nights, we were provided 2 doses of shampoo and 2 toilet paper rolls - adults in the facility were rude and unsmiling The only good things: - the island and beachfront (except in front of this place) are very beautiful - the kids working here were cheerful and helpful Recommendation: AVOID THIS PLACE!

Pros: - beautiful beach - nice breakfast - boat pick up from the pier - friendly staff (especially Andrey) Cons: - Very overpriced for the basic accommodation it is. - The bathroom did not have any separation from the bedroom, neither a door nor a curtain. - The beds and pillows are very hard. - Wifi is poor outside of the lobby area. - some bathroom appliances are rusty - hot water only worked occasionally Overall I would not recommend Sweet dreams compared to much cheaper hotels on the island that offer similar bungalows.
