Sky beach resort is on a beautiful, quiter section of the beach and each bungulow has lots of space around it and a lovely big veranda which was fabulous to relax on and watch the world go by. The bungalows are spacious with air con and a fridge - the only reason I've not given a 5 star review is that the limited furnishings could really do with updating - the brown curtains are well past their sell by date; the bathroom was pretty basic too and we had a few issues with the shower which despite the owner being very helpful about we never quite managed to master. But the location and the friendly staff more than made up for these things and we loved our stay here.

I stayed 3 nights in a beach front bungalow. Sky Beach is a small, casual resort, nothing fancy but still nice and it's in a great location down the quiet end of the beach. It's just a stroll up the beach to the bigger backpacker type places if you feel like being around more travellers, and an easy walk across to the other side of the island and quieter beaches if you want more solitude. Staff are friendly and nice. There were a few minor hiccups (a hot water heater failure that was quickly dealt with) and Ola and the team were very helpful and communicated what had to happen next etc. The bungalow I stayed in was showing signs of age but was perfectly serviceable and the location and view are what I was paying for. Breakfast and food options are simple but good, and the restaurant is a nice place to sit with a beer and just watch the ocean and sky.

Lovely place and lovely people. Small resort of just five bungalows, restaurant and little shop towards the southern end of Saracen bay. Great place to relax for a few days (or longer) to escape the madness of the mainland.

After a fast paced week in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh (and a challenging time in scary Sihanoukville!), we were so looking forward to our stay at Sky Beach Resort. It did not disappoint. Koh Rong Samloem is divine. The island feels like Koh Samui in the 80s - white sand, clear water, untouched beaches, bungalows on the beach, all very basic. This will however change. Development is happening at breakneck speed and I do hope that things slow down. Sky Beach is run by the amazing Touch and his family, and the delightful Dutchman Gerard/Gareth/Kenneth (!). So warm and welcoming. The food is fabulous and Touch seems to know everything happening on the island. He will do anything to help. We had 5 nights in our own family bungalow on the beach. Perfect. Large room, 2 x Queen beds, balcony, bang on the beach with views of the water. My only advice would be to hurry up and visit before things change! Thank you for a heavenly stay.

We haf a relaxing stay here despite the bad weather. Our separate villa was comfortable and clean. Our hosts friendly and helpful. Food was fabulous too. Situated at the quieter end of the beach but a casual stroll to bars and restaurants along the waterfront. Overall our trip was marred by bad weather making getting to and from the island difficult. Our hosts Touch and his beautiful wife were amazing with extended hospitality and arrangements to help get us off the island to make our flight home.
