Would not recommend this Hotel to anyone. The rooms were dirty, tired and require an major overhaul. We could not wait to get out of there. The lunch and dinner menus exactly the same. the only thing going for it was the 2 Ladies at reception they were lovely and helpful. The woman behind the bar making the drinks very... More

The Soviet architecture is a throwback to be treasured by those who are NOT attracted to the Veradero-Cancun cookie cutter scene. My group of four had an inimitable cottage with two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, two bathrooms. The buffet meals didn't vary much, but then what DID in the Soviet era (which isn't that long past). The all-inclusivo price we... More

One of the worst places I experienced in Cuba. Bad food, expensive rates. The 2 * are far too much. in the bungalow only the bed room is air con but with an ancient device hardly cooling. The staff is unfriendly and not helpful at all. " we don't provide taxi service. We don't provide information on buses, No, you... More

My girlfriend and I were the only tourists then and this was everywhere we went. It was quite primitive then. We didn't expect anything. But the snorkeling was beautiful. We loved Cuba we sure got lost a lot since all road signs were gone, made for some fun experiences. Food was not easy to come by then. No stores. We... More

Spent two nights here in late February - friendly staff did as much as they could to serve us well (friendly reception, helpful maid, great cafe latte, snack bar etc) but overall this place is shockingly depressing and Cubanacan etc just need to get serious about it. Others have commented about the stray dogs, horses ambling around, run down, broken... More

I hope everyone would take a couple minutes to read this review and get a different perspective on a place that can be often misunderstood and dismissed by some ignorant people. As most, if not all of the people reviewing this place have mentioned, this is an old army camp. After the invasion of The Bay of Pigs, it was... More

This old army camp has sewers with partly open lids that smelt appalling scattered around the concrete cubes called rooms. ours also had an unemptied rubbish bin outside our door for the 4 days we were there. Bathrooms without a single peg or shelf, so only floor to drop towels down, with mouse droppings left during our four nights there.... More

This place is depressing. The accommodation consists of dozens and dozens of "bungalows" scattered over a huge area hundreds of metres from the reception building and bar. The whole complex was an army camp during the infamous Bay of Pigs invasion of 1961. So it is almost 60 years old, and looks it too!! Many of the bungalows are derelict... More

This place is ugly. The rooms are more like little houses, that are in need of alot of work. It looks like a deserted nuclear town. The main part of the resort is more than a little tired. The pool has very strange filters in it, but they don't seem to work as there was a layer of pond scum... More
