This gem of a place has beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms each with their own distnct character. Sue is an incredibly generous and friendly host who takes great pleasure in making guests feel comfortable. We arrived home after a birthday meal to find a liqueur on our bedside cabinet and were treated to Sue's home made brownies when we left... More

Hubby and I stayed for two nights in the Garden Room. Lovely room, wonderful welcome and a great breakfast! Easy to find on a fairly quiet main road. Good situation for visiting Tolpuddle, Corfe Castle and Lulworth Cove.

From the first moment I spoke to Sue on the phone I knew our stay was going to be good. She was cheerful, accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. On arrival we were given a warm welcome and shown round the areas used by visitors. A pot of Heathcote blended tea (wonderful flavour) and home baked cake and biscuits... More

We cannot express enough what a fantastic stay we had! We only stayed the one night on our way home from Cornwall but wish we had stayed longer. On arrival Sue was a brilliant host, the house is beautiful, clean and homely. Sue had made homemade Victoria sponge and white chocolate and raspberry cookies using raspberries from her amazing garden.... More

Really enjoyed our stay at this first class accommodation. Sue was a great host for whom nothing was too much to ask. Our breakfasts were cooked to order, the fruit was lovely and the home made jams/marmalade tasted great. We stayed in the Fig Room and would certainly recommend that - spacious and tastefully decorated. A nice touch was a... More

From the start this place has been amazing! Right through booking to leaving the next morning. Sue was accommodating with letting us into our room early to get ready for a wedding at milton abbey. Panic struck when our parents couldn't make it to pick us up to take us to the wedding - so lovely sue helped us out... More

Spending time in Dorset with family, we simply had to pop in to Heathcote House to say hello to Sue once again. We were not disappointed, greeted like old friends, we were treated to Sue's magnificent breakfast and unassuming, warm hospitality. This friendly establishment was a great place to stay over a year ago and has only got better since... More

Having read reviews before booking, I was expecting our night at Heathcote House to be really lovely - but it far exceeded expectations and was absolutely amazing thanks to the hospitality of Sue and the thought and care she puts into every single detail.
