We have booked this hotel on our way through southern Germany for an overnight stay. I have to say that we were very satisfied and I strongly disagree with older negative reviews. The hotel is located in the centre of a calm town with all you need nearby including supermarket, bakery and restaurant. Personnel was welcoming and professional. Regarding the...

We booked this hotel on our way through Germany, initially picking Heidelberg, but selected this hotel, and were glad we did. Clean, tidy, and super friendly. It isn't have the most up to date décor but exceptional good value for money.

I read some of the old reviews and had to be different owners. We found this hotel to be very clean, owners were fantastic! Modern rooms with good wifi connection. Having never been to Germany these folks were very helpful.

We had a nice stay in Hotel Elsenztal on our way from Switzerland to Heidelberg. Our host was very friendly and gave great suggestion for a restaurant for dinner. We rented 2 rooms; one for our 3 teenagers and one for my husband and me. They were spacious and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning...

The owner was very friendly and quite helpful in bringing up our bags from the car. Hotel is old and has its own charm in the quaint town ( No elevator ) To accommodate a family with a kid. Room given to us was Quadruple at no extra cost!!. Payment in cash ONLY. Room was clean and facing the church....

We had a great time at this sweet family run hotel. The manager was very kind to us and our kids. There was a school tour staying one night we were there and he apologised for any inconvenience. We didn't hear a thing. The building is old and could do with a lick of paint. The breakfast was simple fresh...

Booked through booking.com as it was the only triple room I could find in my price range near Hockenheim as I was going to the German F1 GP the next day with my Dad and son. It's basically a large house so our room was just like a normal bedroom in someones house with 3 single beds rammed into it....

We booked this hotel due to its location, being close to Heidelberg and within walking distance of the S-Bahn. We parked our car in front and called reception from the street. The latch was released without any answer. At the reception upstairs a man we presumed to be the owner addressed us (no 'guten tag' or anything else) by stating...

I generally agree with Gehrig's review. The hotel is in Bammental, which is a charming village about 20 minutes by S-Bahn from Heidelberg. The hotel, located adjacent to a supermarket, is in need of updating. The rooms are basic with few outlets, no AC, and our beds were not very comfortable. As mentioned in one review, there is one room...

Had a single which is very small but met expectations for this type hotel quality. The town is delightful with beautiful views. Supermarket next door to hotel and nice ice cream shop just across the bridge. Hotel is family run and staff a bit disinterested in doing anything other than the bare minimum. Room was clean and more than acceptable....
