While the hotel is nicely located, looking away from the main road and onto the snow-capped mountain range, management missed a lot of chances to make arriving guests feel welcome. No water or welcome drinks, even a simple tea in the lounge was charged as an extra. No lunch or dinner possibilities, and breakfast is extremely basic. Lots of little... More

Thank you for your review, we fully realize that in this high season there have been days when our service did not fully meet our guest´s expectations, and your review helps us to identify the week areas where more attention has to be given to what you generously call "details". Regards lunch and dinner, we are working already on a... More

Villa O'Higgins reminds me of a rural town in Alaska, a town still in the making and not very well made. We were fortunate to have been booked into the Lodge Robinson Crusoe, which is right on the Ruta Austral. On checking in, and after ten days on the road, we were told that the room came with a free... More

Thank you for your review on your recent visit to our lodge and to the Great Glacier, and for pointing out the difficulties getting supplies in that remote region of Patagonia. We are working on a solution for lunch and dinner for guests who don´t want to take advantage of nearby restaurants or of the snacks and beverages we offer... More

As some of the other reviews noted, simple luxury. It is very simple but so lovely in the way it is decorated. Probably the nicest place we stayed on the Carretera Austral with the best shower! Such gorgeous views from our room and a lovely fire, sitting area in the lodge. A huge highlight were also the two dogs, one... More

During my 3 weeks trip in Cile and Argentina in the period, end November 2014 - beginning December 2014, this was the best comfortable lodge where I stayed. Also Robinson Crusoe is very good and efficient in organizing the border crossing from Villa O'Higgins to El-Chalten in Argentina, by boat and horse ride. There I saw the most beautiful landscape... I signed up for a fly-fishing tour at the Expedition Robinson Lodge. It was my first time ever to fly-fish so they gave me a introduction course in the garden of the hotel. The next day we went by car to some exceptional spots surrounded by glaciers, huge mountains and streamy rivers. I was very impressed by the professional approach... More

We went to fly fish in Villa O'Higgins. The lodge looked very nice online, but its really great in person. The bed and rooms are great, the food is fresh and delicious. Just the logistics of getting the food there is difficult. Danielle and Vincent will provide for your every wish. Have a wonderful time in deep Patagonia.

We found a real perfect and well leaded lodge in Villa o Higgins and spend some days there. It was a positive surprise to find such a Lodge in this area. We travelled for two weeks in the Chilean patagonia and this is by far the best place we stayed in.
