This was our third visit to Laamu and I actually think the best. We were quite nervous about travelling during a pandemic but Six Senses made us feel happy and safe at all times. Laamu is the most beautiful and relaxing place and we were so well looked after. We stayed in a Laamu water villa with pool on jetty a, and spent an amazing two weeks relaxing, snorkelling and eating delicious food. Our GEM Arif was great at sorting anything out for us and Rava also. The management team were very present throughout our stay and happy to help with any concerns. I hope we will be back again soon.

Hotel's Favorite
We have just returned from a fantastic 10-days at the Sic Senses Laamu. Being our first trip to the Maldives, we did an awful lot of research on where to go and also received several recommendations on this resort. We were not disappointed - the place is absolutely fantastic - stunning!!! We stayed in an over-water Ocean Villa (no 65) towards the end of Jetty C. Stunning - absolutely perfect. Would recommend this location as it's away from the main restaurants etc but very easy to get anywhere. Everyone get's bikes and its great to have a leisurely ride around. The beaches and island in general is pristine and the water is crystal clear. Lots of fish can be seen as well as turtles and rays. You may even see the off shark while snorkelling but they are very friendly! The staff are wonderful and not at all intrusive. Always very helpful and happy - credit to the management, who treat the staff very well and it shows in the service. Everyone gets a GEM (Guest Experience Maker) and they are around (and on call) to help with absolutely anything you need. We ate at all the restaurants several times and the food was excellent in each one. The wine pairing meal in Altitude was particularly good, as were the wines - picked by an excellent sommelier. There is as little or as much as you want to do at this resort, with a good waterspouts and dive centre. The diving (I dived 5 times) is particularly good. While we were there, they had an astronomer come in, which was fascinating and a really nice touch. Couple of staff shout outs: Aaslah our GEM really looked after us. Des the DJ is an absolute legend - literally. The resort is lucky to have him and we really enjoyed his music. He's also a top top bloke! Steven the Dive Master was excellent and really professional - you are in really good hands with him and the team there. Muhey our waiting around the beach/pool was excellent. Everything was done with a fantastic smile and he went out of his way to help us each day and also explain a little about the local culture, which we really appreciated. From speaking to other guests and some of the staff that had worked at other resorts in the Maldives, it was clear that we were at one of the best if not the best resort, and it felt like it. I probably sound like I work for the place, but I honestly cannot fault it and cannot wait to go back. Tip: Don't bother taking any footwear - you only need what you travel in. Don't even bother with flip flops - we never wore ours once!

Dear Cityboytraveller, Thank you very much for choosing to stay here in Six Senses Laamu and for sharing such an amazing review. It is a great pleasure to have you stay with us. I am delighted to know that you enjoyed every detail of your vacation. Truly you say; Maldives is one of the most beautiful places in the world and really worth a visit. Our resort is very fortunate to be surrounded by clear blue waters, multi-colored fishes, corals and soft white sand which our valued guests like you loves enormously. Great you have appreciated all these as well as your villa and its stunning view. I also wish to thank you for the special commendations for your GEM Aslah, DJ Des, Steven, and all hosts who are truly passionate with their jobs. Please know that I have shared your kind words with them. Rest assured that your next vacation will be even more superb than your last. Should travelling back to Maldives be in your bucket list again, our little paradise is always open for your return! Best regards, Marteyne

Six Senses Laamu is just perfect. Not only the hotel and the island are incredibly beautiful, but the staff is very friendly and attentive and this makes the experience very special! Food is super delicious, the villas are amazing and there was nothing the staff wouldn't do to see us happy! There is also a range of activities to do and they are all very worth it. We did night snorkeling, surfing, sunset fishing, dolphin cruise, bbq at the beach... All so nice! We've been at Six Senses Laamu in 2016 for our honeymoon and when we decided to come back to the Maldives we had no doubt we would come to the same resort. If I come a third time I will choose Six Senses again.

Been here for our honeymoon in 2016 and have been dying to come back since. Well, we did now in Oct 2020 and even though it was our 2nd time here it felt like the first. This place is paradise, everything from service to rooms to food to activities is perfect. Everyone one in six senses laamu is amazing and will do everything out of their way to make your stay the best possible, there is nothinh that cant be done. Our GEM Aslah was always ahead of us in thinking of ways to make our stay even more pleasant. The best. Since we had already stayed here the villas shouldnt have been a surprise, but yet they were breathtaking and in each corner of the room you have the most stunning views and best amenities. As a plus, I surf and although the surf is still the same (amazing), now the surfing operation is ran by Tropicsurf, which has the best folks and are the ultimate surftrip experience. Justin, Saif, Nicole and Umar were the best surf guides one could hope for. Just come.
