This resort is in a great location just across the road from the beach and a number of restaurants located downstairs. We stayed in a one bedroom side Seaview room and the view was lovely looking over both the beach and small mountains. Bathroom room and lounge was ok however it was quite hot over our Stay and the aircon...

Lovely resort. We had a Grand room over looking the bay, stunning. Weather was a bit all over the place but water was clear and inviting. Room was great, it had a good little kitchen, laundry and bathroom with spa. Never been in one before it was very relaxing. Walked the full beach, sand very clean and no weed on...

The Ramada has become a real favourite of ours in our late blooming relationship. We have, on our last two visits, upgraded to the beach front unit and feel you really do soak up the atmosphere of the beach front. The number of eateries both within the Ramada precinct and beyond gives an excellent range of choices. The proximity to...

The location is great and front desk people are friendly. However the room smelt a bit stale, we had to wipe down the sofa before we sat on it, housekeeping is not done daily and the sales/marketing people are absolute liars and downright rude. When we arrived we were greeted by really friendly people who offer a $50 Coles Myer...

We had a number of issues, firstly our room was meant to have "views" however we were the far corner of the block and the beach / water was only visible from a small corner of the balcony. The balcony was also not private and despite being a non smoking property, there were guests smoking on the balcony attached to...

This resort has everything. Great views, close to the beach, several great food options, great facilities. I enjoyed having a few drinks in the country club after tea, great atmosphere. Good spot for a family get away or a romantic couples weekend. Close to Nelson Bay as well. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. It can be a little pricey...

We stayed in the Heritage building during the Xmas week and it had a kitchenette and was just a hop, skip and jump across the road to the water. I think there were 3 pool areas within the resort and all were very inviting. Bed was very comfortable and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Seems like management of the ramada have decided that the great location will trump providing the basics required for a decent customer experience. We stayed for 5 nights over NYE and did not have a room clean once, despite asking for, and having one 'confirmed', 3 times. There is nothing wrong with the front desk staff, but they seem to...

As a couple, we have enjoyed staying at the Ramada, Shoal Bay over the summer break for the last few years. However, this year the service, cleanliness and facilities have deteriorated to an unfathomable low. Calling the Ramada a “Resort” is laughable compared to the basic service quality of other hotels. We stayed for 5 nights and at $439 per...

Close to the beach for daily activities. Quite area, good value but lack of balcony area for drying wet swim wears. Unit booked was self service and therefore did not have regular house keeping services.
