A very comfortable stay with excellent food at this 14th Century rustic inn. No luck with the Wi-Fi but not surprised as location very rural. Easy access to historic Lavenham where a tasty dinner was had in the Swan Hotel brasserie on a Sunday evening when the Peacock is closed.

If you appreciate excellent and honest country pub dining with freindly attentive service this is the place for you. This traditional country pub in an idyllic location is an absolute gem and delight. A party of 7 of us ate here last week whilst in the area on holiday and would say it was totally faultless. The perfect relaxed end... More

Picturesque, traditional pub in a lovely spot with pleasant staff. The garden on a sunny day is delightful. Two of the fairly new outside chairs and one of the tables were broken, one of which I sat on and so had to change it. Service was prompt and although the food was well presented, we were a little disappointed with... More

We stayed there for a wedding. Lovely room, very friendly service, even offered a cigar! Breakfast was to order and delicious. Even met a celebrity who came into the pub on the Sunday. Idyllic location, only 30 mins from Bury St Edmunds but you wouldn't know it. Highly recommended.

Just spent two nights in the Peacock Inn and have no hesitation in recommending this lovely traditional pub. This clean establishment serves first class food at reasonable cost and always with a smile.Thank you for your hospitality and we hope to see you again in the the not too distant future.

We called into the Peacock Inn for our evening meal last week and were very impressed by the service and the quality. We don't generally choose the vegetarian option, but we both had the nut roast and it was first-rate! We highly recommend this establishment!

Visited just for a drink on passing very warm welcoming pub with a lovely log burner. Staff were friendly and was nice to be able to bring the dog into the bar. Was nicely busy will return for food next time in the area!

Brilliant. Very good food and breakfast, full English with some amazing local sausages, bacon and gorgeous mushrooms. A delightful and quirky old house, room and restaurant, staff are friendly and welcoming. Great place to stay or for a meal out, well worth a visit. Thank you for looking after us.

This is not a pub that some interior designer has been let loose with muted grey paint....... It's the real thing....a genuine log fired cosy pub run by a very enthusiastic couple.... Will and Rachael. We had a great night on Friday..... Excellent food..... Great beer and a beautiful room. Will be back soon.......
