We stayed in Aug 2015. This hotel looked pleasant from the photos but we were very disappointed. The rooms were very very dated and needed a complete overhaul. They also smelt very damp. The hotel is well located though, right in the town so it is easy to go out and eat. There is also free parking. To be honest...

Visited Montignac and Le Relais Du Soleil Hotel for a long weekend. We had visited the area and stayed at the Hotel several times in the 90s on our own as a couple and previously with two young children. We arrived late on Friday night having flown into Toulouse and travelled the couple of hours up the Motorway. Be aware...

A group of friends, all of us francophone and francophile and very familiar with food of the region, were extremely disappointed with this restaurant. First, the entree of pate was terrible, tasteless and cold. Next, the meat course was oversalted and the meat was touch and hard to cut. The dessert was a tiny, thin slice of walnut cake. Overpriced...

Very disappointing, particularly at the price - the first room they showed us stank of drains, and the second had a mattress that was like a hammock! How this place can claim to have 'superior rooms' I don't know! The pool was dirty, the gardens unkempt. Food was very expensive, so we didn't sample it. Not a good experience. Will...

Our waitress was delightful when we first arrived but after waiting 75 minutes for our lunch we were wishing we'd tried one of the many other restaurants in the town . Food was not worth the wait . On departure we were followed out and accused of not having paid enough money but having actually left MORE than the bill...

We spend one night in this hotel, as we were travelling south, it was fantastic, the safe parking space (if there is plenty of luggage in your car) the great room, the fantastic breakfast, the pool. And so close to Montignac...

We had read some negative reviews and were quite wary... However, we enjoyed our stay in the hotel (one night) and were particularly impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Clearly, the decor is rather dated and in desperate need of renovation (particilarly the bathrooms) but the beds were extremely comfortable and our room had a very nice...

Very well appointed hotel in the centre of Montignac we stayed on a wednesday night and found it to be a pleasant experience. Helpful staff showed us how to enter the free private car park. Room clean and bright with view over the main street through town. No noise with window closed. Ate in bistro 70 euros for 3 people...

We stayed here whilst visiting the Lascaux II caves. It is a classic old French Hotel, retaining the charm of yesteryear. The meals were enjoyable out beside the swimming pool, and the bar was superb.
