My son and I stayed for a night in a twin room at this lovely B&B, which was located away from the main house. The room was very tastefully decorated and had a superb en-suite shower room. The owner was very pleasant and friendly and in the morning she gave us a delicious breakfast in the main house. It was... More

We stayed for 2 nights in this excellent bed&breakfast. Our room was named "Laroch", and we loved it. It was a lovely room, very spacious, modern, extremely clean and very comfortable, with a spacious and highly comfortable bathroom. Breakfast is generous and delicious, well assorted and served in a lovely room. Our hosts, Douglas and Elaine, are very friendly and... More

Mansedale House just gets better and better. Well actually, that's not quite true. It's impossible to get better than best, because that's what this place is - THE BEST! Douglas and Elaine go out of their way to make sure your stay in their delightful B and B is a totally great experience. My wife and I have been going... More

We stayed at the Laroch room, it is quite new, large and modern, with a nice and large bathroom. All details are very well studied from Elaine and Douglas who welcome you and give you information and support even before your arrival. They also booked us a table for dinner at the Tavern close to them that was a very... More

Similar to other reviews, we spent 7 nights at 4 different B&B's in Scotland and Northern England. However, this B&B was far and away the best. All of our hosts/owners were wonderful, all of our breakfasts were excellent, all of our accommodations fine, as was Mansedale and Elaine and Dougie. But, this was our only stay where we could relax... More

Visited Mansedale house yet again (why go anywhere else in this area?) and decided that it was time my wife sampled the classiest and most friendly B and B I have ever had the pleasure of staying in, I normally visit with golfing friends for an annual tour. I was pleased but not suprised, that she agreed with my views... More

What a gem! We found this B&B on trip advisor and it lived up to all previous recomendations. Doug and Elaine were fantastic hosts. We stayed for 4 nights in the Laroch Room which was 5 star.It had patio doors opening out onto the beautiful garden and gazebo and we would sit out there in the evenings. Breakfast catered for... We spent 8 nights in different Scotland B&Bs during our tour, all but one were excellent (the one which wasn't was still fairly good). The Mansedale House at Strathkinness was above all the rest -- it was outstanding. In this little charming town, this B&B must be the jewel in the crown. We were placed in a spacious room, very... I found this fabulous find on trip advisor. I went with my elderly parents for the purpose of meeting family. When we arrived we were greeted by the charming Elaine and Dougie (owners) with a lovely pot of tea and Scottish biscuits. A lovely touch. The setting of the house is set in a very pretty garden. The rooms and... More
