The Old Stables is not the easiest of places to find unless you have sat-nav. It is sign-posted from the main road but you have to keep your eyes peeled for the sign, and the turning is possible to miss. The Old Stables are located just little distance down a rocky drive. Once you get there, the place has lots... More

What can I say about this b&b apart from perfect. Needed a place for the 6 of us so booked 3 rooms as a break from our travels. The actual rooms are lovely, spacious and done to a very high standard and so clean & fresh. The breakfast omg we all left stuffed, it was sooooo good. Julie the host... More

So happy I found this place!! Out the way from the city, quiet and peaceful, very homely! Everything I needed for my first trip alone for training! Breakfast normally starts at 7am, but I had to leave earlier... After explaining this they already had an Amazing breakfast ready at 6:30am for me, which was very helpful! very accommodating, very helpful... More

The Old Stables was for us, a shot-in-the-dark. We had no idea what to expect. We arrived a little late to a wonderful welcome. Our room was clean, with lovely bed linens and views over the pasturelands. The bathroom was newly upgraded with nice towels and good water pressure for showering. We thought we would miss breakfast the next morning... More

I arrived mid evening and was greeted nicely and shown to my room. The room was a fair size for a single with a double bed. En suite shower room was almost as big as the room! Rather than a wardrobe there was a hanging rack for clothes in the en suite, this was handy as the packing wrinkles just... More

Booked this as a place to stay for my other half's birthday and I must say what a find. Beautiful setting, fantastic accommodation, wonderful breakfast and Julie is one of the nicest people you could wish to meet. I cannot recommend enough!

Lots of positive things to say about this place - good value, great breakfast, lovely host, fab location. Rooms aren't anything special but are adequate and reasonably clean but not "bottomed" (blind in my bathroom was very dusty!), lots of tea and coffee & water and even biscuits! As is the nature of the building you can hear everything that... More

Stayed overnight prior to a meeting in Milton Keynes. Good points wi-fi/ buffet breakfast/ friendly owner/ reasonable price (especially compared to Milton Keynes central). Little 'out of the way' so had difficulty finding a shop and no pub/ restaurant within walking distance. Great for a quiet stay though!
