I arrived mid evening and was greeted nicely and shown to my room. The room was a fair size for a single with a double bed. En suite shower room was almost as big as the room! Rather than a wardrobe there was a hanging rack for clothes in the en suite, this was handy as the packing wrinkles just... More

Booked this as a place to stay for my other half's birthday and I must say what a find. Beautiful setting, fantastic accommodation, wonderful breakfast and Julie is one of the nicest people you could wish to meet. I cannot recommend enough!

Lots of positive things to say about this place - good value, great breakfast, lovely host, fab location. Rooms aren't anything special but are adequate and reasonably clean but not "bottomed" (blind in my bathroom was very dusty!), lots of tea and coffee & water and even biscuits! As is the nature of the building you can hear everything that... More

Stayed here on bussiness and would do so again. Very clean rooms and nice location. Owner very accommodating and made you feel welcome. Car park ok and secure. Very quiet with nice views. Only wish would be a desk to work at in room. Otherwise a1

Stayed overnight prior to a meeting in Milton Keynes. Good points wi-fi/ buffet breakfast/ friendly owner/ reasonable price (especially compared to Milton Keynes central). Little 'out of the way' so had difficulty finding a shop and no pub/ restaurant within walking distance. Great for a quiet stay though!

I stayed one night on a business trip. The Old Stables is well run, well organised, and friendly. Priced at the budget to mid range but very clean and breakfast was lovely. I am sure I will stay again.

he reason I have not given it 5 stars is the condition of the long drive up to the accommodation. This is only really suited for a 4 X 4, and I really thought I would need an aqualung to make it through the last puddle. I really would not recommend this for cars that are very low to the... More

Lovely property, owner very welcoming, super breakfast. The only problem was that the bed was a little hard for us, but we do appreciate that some people prefer hard beds. Also the potholes on the drive could do with some attention. We loved our room, and would stay again.

Arrived at the old stables for a one night stay on business and although a little hard to find in the dark it was well worth the find. Lovely place with all,the amenities you could require, the host Julie offered the warmest of welcomes and makes you feel very at home. The room was smallish but had everything you would... More
