We visited this beautiful hotel for the second time this weekend with our dogs, again we were not disappointed. The staff are so friendly, the food is fantastic and the overall service is spot on. Our dogs were also made to feel very welcome in the bedroom and in the bar areas. The log fire is a real treat to...

Visited for Sunday lunch & this is the best Sunday lunch we have ever had in a restaurant! The food was presented beautifully, decent sized portion & the Yorkshire puddings were amazing! This was fabulous value for money, the staff were brilliant & will most definitely return soon.

My wife and I arrived early for check in...

This hotel lives up to its lovely position in this captivating village - the service here is excellent, the food sublime, the rooms comfortable and elegant. When you consider that cold fresh milk in a thermos is brought for your hospitality tray as the norm, it says it all. You will be greeted on arrival with the most excellent cream...

For me this is the best spot in Teesdale to eat and has been for many years. Our lunch was simply superb and the service and environment in which we dined was exceptional. It was quite busy for a Monday afternoon in January, which speaks volumes about the quality on offer here.
