We stayed in Sleeplate cottage for a week. It’s great for families of 4. The owner is very friendly and helpful Ava is happy to provide stair gates, booster seats, high chairs, potty, water proof sheets, toilet training seat etc if requested. They also leave some toys out which is a great bit of novelty for the kids. The cottage is beautiful with all you could need including washing machine and dishwasher. There’s a great play area and a nice park 5 mins walk away too. The info pack suggests restaurants, days out and take aways too. It’s a great location for Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon (brilliant butterfly farm), Kenilworth Castle and several NationalTrust properties. We stayed at Sleeplate last year and loved it so much we came back. That says it all!
We have just come back from a lovely long weekend stay with 2 young children in Sleeplate cottage. The cottage was well proportioned, super clean and really well equipped with everything you could possibly need, including a chilled bottle of white wine and some home made delicious chocolate nibbles! The box of toys and 2 cars in the living room were an instant hit with the kids and Fiona popped in to make sure we had everything we needed and to provide recommendations in the local area. A lovely stay, thanks!
It isn't always easy to find an accessible cottage that is also comfortable for everyone in the party and is convenient for lots of interesting places to visit. This really ticks all the boxes though. Fiona was so helpful and friendly, lending us a wheelchair which meant that we didn't have to worry about hiring one, and recommending places to visit. The cottage was clean and well stocked and we had a great time blackberry picking as well. I would thoroughly recommend it for visitors of all ages and abilities.
Visited for four nights in what is the best self catering cottage we have stayed in. The cottage was spacious, comfortable, super clean and so well equipped. Lovely welcome from Fiona and lots of useful tips about the local area. The farm was interesting with the boat club using the pond and the model railway club on Thursday evening which was very interesting. Altogether a great stay!
What an amazing welcome for mom and I as we drove in during a spectacular sun setting & a full moon rising. The tranquility hit us, and to walk in to a cosy beamed Chestnut Cottage melted away our worries. Fridge of surprises was the next treat! Such a personal touch. The open spacious cottage, with natural light and space ... bliss! The model boats on the lake glided us into the next morning, and the model railway group were warm & welcoming later (much later!) in the evening. The old tractor collection in the barn is amazing - I bet they could tell a story? We spent a complimentary day at Compton Verney courtesy of Arbor & the current ‘Painting Childhood’ exhibition was awesome. The recommendations from Fiona to visit the local Herb Centre & Carpenters Farm Shop, and lunch at the Falcon pub exceeded our expectations, and we supported the local economy!! A couple of days in Stratford let us visit so many wonderful places - Magic Alley, MAD Museum & Stratford Antiques - all of which I’ll rate separately. Can’t recommend Arbor Holiday Cottages enough. Fiona’s personal touch, sharing the history & mystery of the village & working farm & fossils and badger sets .... the last ten years or more haven’t been great for us, but we now have new memories & can’t wait to return. Thank you x…
