The house is very nice, the garden is very big and wide, the rooms are ok, couple of them, not all of them. Nice living downstairs with a mid kitchen. The food options are limited, the owner is very grumpy.

Everything is perfect, if you manage to reserve the room, via booking. I've made the reservation few days ago, for the 01.06 I got one email/message on booking.com that the card that I'm using it's not valid and I need to act. Since I'm traveling, I did not see that message, and I was not able to act on it....

Dear Adrian, we are deeply sorry you experienced this but for this reservation you used booking.com system and there are rules in place in case of a card with insufficient funds and if not modified in 24h as you were advised by booking.com the reservation is canceled in order to let other guests book-it is the system. You did stayed...

I stayed here for one night before passing the Transfagarasan road. It is very well situated if this is the sight you want to visit. The house and garden are very clean and neat. The food was very tasty and fresh as it was cooked on site by the hosts. We had the trout with polenta. I would highly recommend...

Guest house was lovely, rooms well equipped and balcony was unexpected surprise! Hosts were friendly and helpful. Food was locally sourced, home cooked and excellent! Garden great for relaxing and guest house ideally situated for visits to Bran castle, Brasov, Sighisoara, Sibiu and of course the Transfargarasen road. Highly recommended!

Yes, the house looks gorgeous from the outside and pretty nice inside and the host was rather nice. BUT... I had e-mailed a few months in advance to ask if it was possible to eat at the pension (knowing we are vegan) and I was told everything would be ok, that they'd prepare something for us (even received a new...

Dear Isalyne, I would have completely understand your negative review if it would have been about the vegan food and diet we could not provide to you - we are indeed sorry but all our products are from the village and are animal (by-)product: fresh milk, butter, cheese, eggs etc. but you dont eat any of these, you don't eat...

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The hotel itself looks like a Colorado lodge or something. Very clean and nice as well. We had someone with us who spoke Romanian and had no problems but the owners don't speak English so some other guests felt a little awkward and luckily our friend could interpret for them. So, that might be...

Great place to spend the night in the countryside! Very well equipled rooms, great view from the balcony and the staff was nice. The dinner was made of traditional homemade romanian dishes and was more than enough. Would recommend it for quiet and relaxed weekends in that area.

It is a great home to sleep and enjoy the fresh air. I liked the bed and the sheets and the silence offered by the nature (some noise from birds help even better to relax). The food is great and bio made from products of their own farm. Pros: the confort and the silence, the food and service, the view...

We had an excellent time there in September, before arriving we asked them if they could prepare dinner for us on arrival and it was a good and tasty one, the breakfast was the same. The place is a nice house with 4 or 5 rooms, the hosts stay in another smaller house next to it. The house is decorated...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Casa Mosului Guesthouse opened in 2008. It was built in a thousand year old village, full of stories about colorful characters. The house is made out of wood and rock, decorated with authentic, old items, from the Fagaras Valley. We are not a big hotel and our guests become our friends quickly. Mosu, well, he has, as you would expect, white hair. He is kind and attentive with all the people coming to his house. We have five big and sunny rooms, with shiny floors and soft beds, ideal for lazy afternoons and silent nights. You reach them by climbing an original staircase made out of logs from the nearby woods. In the living room, near the fireplace, we have a big table, usually full of all the delicacies of the region, carefully cooked by aunt Mariana. We expect you with a blooming garden, from spring to autumn, where, in the evening you can stay for one more glass of wine or even make your own barbecue. If you are not in the mood for drinking and dining, you can just listen to the crickets, hidden in the grass. In winter time our garden hosts, free of charge, as much snowmen you can build. ... more   less
