I consider staying at Ranvas to be one of the highlights of my two weeks in Rajasthan. A section of the exquisite, historic Ahhichatragarh Fort has been repurposed into a lovely hotel, without detracting from the historic significance and architectural beauty of the Fort. The paths to your room, the dining patio, and pool take you through ancient corridors and...

Ranvas Nagaur was our eighth and last stop of our 3-week journey through Rajasthan. I believe there are about 30 rooms contained in different walled havelis (3 or 4 rooms per haveli). Since there was only 3 rooms being used at the time of our stay, we basically had one haveli for ourselves and we chose being in a Royal...

This was easily one of the best highlights of our trip through Rajasthan. The hotel, which is a small part of the Fort, is beautifully appointed and immaculately maintained. The Managers and staff are very friendly and we were looked after like Royalty! The rooms are spacious and, although modern, have retained the look and feel of an old fort......hats...

What an amazing experience to stay in the fort and have the opportunity to walk around the grounds and fort walls unhindered. An ideal way to view the city and its people from above. Also had a very nice tour of the palace, which has been partly restored. Wonderful food, service and staff. This is a real treat and one...

Many old forts and palaces have been converted into hotels, but Ranvas by far the winner and by a long distance. We decided to drive and left Delhi around 7 am. After turning right from the Delhi Jaipur at Kothputli, drove through excellent state highway roads with little traffic and ever changing landscape and covered the total distance in about...

absolutely beautiful hotel. This place offers a really relaxing environment inside a walled fort. Took a stroll around the top of the wall and took in old village life going on around us. Ranvas is easily 5 star if not more.

The suite we stayed in was full of character. We enjoyed the wonderful setting, the very attentive service and the calm and tranquility of this historic fort. The adjoining palace is a fantastic ongoing restoration project and to have this on your doorstep is truly exceptional

Staying at Ranvas was magical, as noted by other reviewers. Everything about Ranvas is glamorous and tasteful - it is the most wonderful place we've ever stayed. The suites and sleeping rooms are large and beautifully decorated, lovely ante-rooms have comfortable seating, and there is plenty of privacy. Also, we enjoyed a tour of the magnificent fort, delicious food and...

We stopped at Nagaur for one night enroute to Jaisalmer from Jaipur. This is an amazing hotel where the rooms have been refurbished from the Haveli's the kings wives lived in. We were fortunate that the hotel was not in the least bit full (us and one other couple) which meant that we chose a ground floor room and had...

What a beautiful palace and fort and to be so fortunate to see what care goes in to restoring this historic site in Rajasthan. Limited number of rooms so be sure to make reservations. Off the beaten path a few hours from Jodphur but oh so worth it. We were fortunate to have a personal tour of the ramparts at...
