We (couple from New Zealand) stayed at Blue Water Lodge for three nights in early January 2016. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and would highly recommend it. The Lodge is nestled up in the hills above Endeavour Inlet, surrounded by native bush (and wildlife) and with amazing views over the water. The nearby jetty and beach is good for... More

We are so pleased we chose to stay here. Rod was a great host. Very considerate and friendly. Very knowledgeable about the local environment and about world affairs. Waking up to see dolphins feeding in the Sound, Wekas on the deck and the beautiful bush all around was a real treat. We have already recommended Rod's place to many other... More

As a group of 6 ranging in age from 22 to 68, we couldn't have had a better stay than at Blue Water Lodge. The memory of the view from the deck will sustain us through the winter months. Rod was simply terrific and prepared us a 5-star meal including scallops and roasted wild boar that he'd hunted himself, leaving... More

With no idea of what to expect we were seriously impressed. Rod is as hospitable as anyone could possibly expect and cooked us by far the best meal we had on the QC track - including a starter of scallops hand caught by him just off the lodge. The 4 of us had the lodge to ourselves and we felt... More

We found Blue Water Lodge to be an excellent refuge for trekkers. We walked into the lodge completely drenched and tired. Rod immediately served us with piping hot tea and had the clothes horse near the fireplace for our wet clothes etc. The accommodation could not have been more relaxing and comfortable. The home cooked meal was just delicious. It... More

We stayed two nights at The Blue Water Lodge with 3 friends and had the whole lodge to ourselves which made it very cosy. The lodge is beautifully set on a steep hillside overlooking Endeavour Inlet. The view from the large deck and from the rooms onto the inlet is amazing. The three course dinner prepared by Rod was delicious.... More

My wife, father, and I spent our first two nights at Blue Water while hiking the Queen Charlotte track and it was a wonderful beginning to the walk. Rod is the perfect host while also making us feel like family. The rooms were comfy and have great views. Shortly after we arrived we watched a pod of orcas in the... More

Travelled through some of the Queen Charlotte Walk a few months ago and this was one of our stops on the three day walk. Stayed there with my family and also friends and their two Children. Rod did very well to cater for 8 of us and provided some lovely food for our dinner that night. It's a good old... More

Was lucky to be the only guest and ended up extending my stay an extra night. Rod let me tag along on a pig hunting trip and in the afternoon we went fishing on his boat. Fresh fish for dinner that night! The next day was kayaking in the inlet and drinks on the boat with some of the other... More

Blue Water Lodge was the venue of my first night's sleep on the 4 day hike on the Queen Charlotte Track. I was the only guest that night, and had a wonderful room with outstanding views. The food was excellent. Rod was really interesting, friendly, and helpful, and is passionate about and highly committed to the environment; it is quite... More
