A beautiful place, full of charm, history. With a great and spacious garden. We came back for the 2nd time. Our family spent 10 days there. We enjoyed every single minute of staying there: quite, peaceful, silent, very comfortable, nearly family atmosphere. Our kids and ourselves were happy being there. The pension is also a perfect start point for visiting attraction of Kotlina Kłodzka, which are indeed numerous.
This is a great place to slow down, enjoy a great meal with your second half in a romantic scenery. The owners have a good taste and decorated this place in a retro style. You almost feel like in 19th century. At the top of this you are surrounded by beautiful landscape and there is a short distance to skiing resort such as "Czarna Góra". You can find the right balance between outside activities and indulging yourself insight with a great book and a glass of good wine.
We stayed at Villa Elise for a weekend for my girlfriend's birthday. On our journey from Wroclaw on the Friday evening, the Sat Nav. took us via Czech Rep. as one of the main roads to Stronie was closed! Arriving at around 11:30pm we phoned the owner who thankfully opened the gates and let us in. I had requested a mountain view room and we were shown to the top floor into one of the newer rooms, which had 2 single beds. The owner pushed these together for us, not ideal but the view was amazing from the room. Overlooking the large garden and hills. The bathroom was sufficient size with a large mirror. The breakfast was an adequate buffet affair with the usual selection based on hotels in the region. Hot and cold food selections, coffee, tea and juices pastries. An elegant dining room with a very quirky character of ducks to go with the name of the restaurant (Duck and Wine). The evening dinner menu was small but very tasty and well presented. The deer, duck and chicken were all extremely tasty and melted in the mouth. It was also served in good time and was hot, although having pre-warmed plates would help it stay warmer for longer. The desserts were also delicious but a bit disappointed in the Crème brûlée as it wasnt as crunchy as expected and was more of a mousse. The crepes and other chocolate desert was very tasty as were the dessert wines. A nice selection of wines, however only a few were available by the glass, nevertheless they were very tasty and complimented the food fantastically. A word of warning, the room service came at a strange time on the Sunday mid evening. The lady was entering the room with her key even after we said no thank you. Some privacy issues here. All in all, the owners were a friendly couple who speak good English. The location is great for skiers as its only 10 minutes from the Cerna Gora slopes and also close to the Czech border for a days excursion.…
One of the best hotels we ever stayed. And in heritage building. The only problem was: we didn't stay long enough. Because of the late plane touch down in Wrocław, and then long journey from Wrocław to Stronie, we arrived well after midnight - but that was ok with the owners, who live on site, and who got up to open the gate for us. It came out we were the only guests that night, so the whole breakfast room we had for ourselves. And it was proper breakfast, with all you would expect, not like some other hotels, where they say it's not worth setting up and preparing for three guests, so limited version only is available. We've got massive suite, with big double bed and a sofa bed in seperate room - unfortunatelly no curtains in that room, so it got bright quite early in the morning.…
In a beautiful house surrounded by lovely gardens, this is a country house hotel of great comfort and elegance. The food is fantastic, the staff friendly and helpful and the whole atmosphere is just relaxed and easy. Nice room in the top of the house with views and early morning sunshine. Clean, good plumbing and just very pleasant. The owners are very kind and very professional which is good.
