As with a lot of the reviews we stayed at the holiday lodges for the weekend. We came in Nov 2015 when this pub was in the process of changing hands and we loved it then. We were worried that it might not be as good 2nd time around but it was even better. It's a great village pub serving...

Went for a walk around this lovely village and dropped in without booking. Welcomed in an seated. Treated to a fantastic 3 course lunch. A popular place with a lovely atmosphere. Portions were generous and the bill was more than reasonable. A cracking spot to which we will definitely return.

Recently spent a weekend this pretty little Wolds village and booked Sunday lunch at The Fleece. We weren't quite sure what to expect but we weren't disappointed. Beautifully presented roast beef and giant Yorkshire pudding with a good variety of freshly prepared vegetables. Cosy setting with log fires and good friendly service. Good range of beers. It seemed a very...

Superb village pub. We were stopping at the nearby lodges in the village, and thought the pub opened at 5pm per the website, but arrived to find the pub shut at 5:20 (having walked up). The landlord was great in letting us come in, sit down and made us a free coffee each, that is not something you will see...

We have called in several times this year for bar meals. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Food was perfect and we especially like the Sunday roast. Worth booking a table to avoid disappointment.

Lovely real pub, landlady and landlord couldn't do enough for us when we arrived. We had done 68 miles on our bikes and were fairly tired but nothing was too much trouble for us. We just missed the time for a hot meal but the sandwiches that they made for us were awesome. The beer was great and the Guinness...

The Fleece is located in the centre of a very nice village with the accommodation in a separate single storey building located directly behind the pub. There are only 4 rooms and ours, one of the doubles, was quite spacious with a simple decor of magnolia walls and pinewood furniture. The bed was comfortable, there was enough storage for short...
