This was our second visit to Casa Laviano. We stay here when visiting nearby hometown of our family. Great location in Melfi with very large, elegant rooms and common area. Innkeeper does not speak much English but easy to communicate with. He makes an excellent breakfast - eggs, cold cuts, cheese, fruit and sweets. Has a lovely rooftop garden for...

My husband and I enjoyed our one-night stay here very much. We were en route from Ostia Antica to Brindisi. B&B is a block from city center, so we made up our own walking tour w map that Adriano provided and enjoyed the park life on a Sunday night. Breakfast was "Italian" - good coffee/tea, fresh pastry, fruit, small yogurt...

It is not often you come across such a special place. My family and I came to Melfi to visit my father's hometown and were lucky enough to find Casa Laviano for our stay. This charming b&b is not only beautiful, spotless, grand but homely, the owner and housekeeper are two of the most wonderful people you could have the...

We stayed here for 2 nights in September 2012 while visiting my father's hometown nearby. Our room was lovely and we enjoyed the roof garden while sipping the complimentary grappa. Breakfast is light but the coffee is excellent. While our host did not speak much english, he was gracious, helpful, and gave excellent recommendations on restaurants. Highly recommend!!

Our host makes the stay wonderful. Adriano goes out of his way to help. The rooms are clean and fresh, some with a balcony and views of the park. The location is central to the old town. Walking distance to the train station. The breakfast is simple and light. We had missed our train and arrived at the tiny station...

There's some road noise (if you're very sensitive), (it's an Italian hill town with hardscape everywhere, & traffic), but the thick walls and thermal windows block out most of it. The restaurant Adriano recommended was delicious and reasonable. (Trattoria Oasi Giallo Verde). Beautiful bedding, hangings. Small TV, but since I never turn it on I don't care. Haven't had breakfast...

“The main floor rooms are the most elegant. The top floor queen room has a small adjoining single room and private access to the balcony. All rooms are accessible only by stairs. Spacious modern bathrooms.”
