This is a delightful hotel so peaceful and quiet and away from it all, very like staying with a very best friend in the country. The owners were away but we were well looked after by close friends. The lounge had a log fire, which we could light if we wanted and the dining room was adjacent and both had...

Such excellent food, accommodation and service from Jeremy and his wife, who were helping out whilst Colin and his wife were on holiday. Many thanks. I would highly recommend a trip to such a wonderful part of the UK.

Second time staying at Munden House and we couldn't fault a thing. The setting is beautiful and extremely quiet which makes it a lovely relaxing break. The grounds are stunning and lovely to see the chickens running around, followed by the resident cat. Would highly recommend

From arriving to leaving we had a perfect stay, perhaps not long enough, but there is always next time. Lovely welcome on arrival, a big smile is always welcome, beautiful room and exceptionally comfortable bed. The room could be described as homely, in the best possible sense. Lovely gardens and great views with chickens (posh) roaming about the garden reminding...

Hotel is simply great. It is full of nice details and arranged with a taste. We had a nice room, spacious and comfortable. You don't expect it in the middle of nowhere;) Breakfast was also great, each piece of food was delicious and served pretty- I found it more appealing than the 5 star chain hotels. Cozy and romantic. Munden house was the perfect place for our weekend away with Jess our Border Terrier, she loved sitting by the French doors just passing the time of day with cassey the owners border collie. We stayed in the garden cottage, which is seperate from the main house and has direct access to the lovely grounds perfect for dog owners. The...

Dairy cottage is so great, we try and stop off here on the way down to Cornwall whenever we can, as it is a dog friendly b and b. We find it is ideal for dog owners as there is a separate entrance to the cottage, so you can go in and out without disturbing any other guests – ideal...

Lovely accommodation, delicious breakfast, all were very welcoming and our dog was welcome too in the cottage-annex. It would have been good to stay longer and make use of more of the facilities. We will definitely visit again.

Very comfortable and welcoming. Made to feel very welcome. Breakfast excellent - particularly the home made muesli! Just an overnight stop to facilitate appointment in Sherborne. We will use again when next in Dorset.

A dreamy property situated in the quiet countryside - from the warm, inviting welcome to the deliciously indulgent breakfast, Munden House offers a cozy atmosphere and relaxing place to stay. Our cottage was beautifully appointed, with sumptuous bedding and elegantly understated decor. Our hosts couldn't be more accommodating, from restaurant recommendations to booking taxis to Sherborne. We will most definitely...
