My wife and myself had a one night break in the Landhaus. We enjoyed the room which was spick-and-span with all amenities and most of all we enjoyed the gourmet restaurant. Great quality, and maybe the best roe-deer we ever ate. The menus were interchangeable which gave us a great choice. The accompanying wines were just fantastic and chosen with great competence by the sommelier Mr. Winkelmann. His knowledge of wine and making them was stunning and great fun, too.All staff was very attentive. We recommend the place with pleasure.

You come to this beautiful place some 20 km from Trier - probably - only if you come to the restaurant. Writing a review on the hotel part of the Landhaus is a spin off of a review on the restaurant, but has neverless some value for the traveller. The rooms are sufficiently big and equipped with warm furniture (looks like Team 7, i.e. cherry -and other high-end wood) and functional. There is no public WiFi available, but you did not come to this place to surf the net. It is lovely to sit in front of the hotel, walk through the little park or do a hike in the high valleys around the hotel: an absolute must is the "Traumschleifen" trail through 5 of the valleys (5 mi, i.e. 8 km). The breakfast is done with good regional (and mostly organic) ingredients.

Well, you only go to this place for the restaurant (which is excellent). However, the hotel is very good, as well. It is located in a very quiet place by a little creek. Roomsare large, stylish and clean. Bathrooms are good. Breakfast was good too.

We stayed in Landhaus St. Urban with our group of culi-friends, real dutch ''Feinschmecker''. The expectations were high, and we were not disappointed. We always experience a great deal of hospitality in the German hotels and restaurants. Also here this was the case: all personel is very kind and ''sorgsam'. Áround the hotel it is very quiet; there are trees, a little lake or large pound as you wish, nice places to lpunge when the wheather allows it. Rooms are pleasantly furnished, much wood is used. For us the highlight was the restaurant. This was our main decisive factor to choose this hotel for staying in the Mosel region where we were on winetour. We had the priceworthy arrangement with 2x a 4-course menu, and the last night a 6 course one. One less good observation: rather simple amuses, and every evening the same amuses. But the menu's were very good, tasty and well presented. Impressive winelist as well.
