The Hills Lodge is a hotel with a serene atmosphere that charms guests with its blend of modern and traditional decor. While some guests believe the value could be improved, particularly regarding breakfast and room quality, many appreciate the reasonable pricing and amenities. The hotel's cleanliness and service often receive high marks, with the exception of a few reported service hiccups.
Its well-maintained, quiet rooms are a highlight, as are the additional features like the pool and day spa. Conveniently located for event attendees, The Hills Lodge provides a satisfying stay with ample parking and comfortable surroundings.

The Grand Mercure The Hills Lodge is my choice for booking visiting business guests. Depending on traffic, it is a ten to fifteen minute drive to our head office located at Seven Hills.
Without exception, our visitors make a point of thanking me for booking them into The Hills Lodge and describe the accommodation as "excellent". They have high praise for every aspect of their stay at The Hills Lodge.

This is the first time we have stayed in this property and the decision was truly based on past reviews from different sites. We are needing a comfortable place to stay overnight for a competition held nearby and our stay with Pepper Hill Lodge did not disappoint.
It’s an old style Tudor style architecture which is obviously very well kept maintained. The grounds felt very welcoming from the moment we drove in with its manicured greenery, ample car spaces for day visits and allocated basement secured car parking for the hotel guests.
The bed and bedsheets were very comfortable and we all had a good night rest which mattered for the competition the next day. The room we booked is surprisingly very spacious and very clean and the room decor has a touched of modernity but remain true to the feel of the building. Toiletries well supplied and with complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits provided in the room. There is a laundry room which you can do your own laundry.
There is an outdoor pool and was very popular to hotel guests with young children during our stay as it was quite crowded. The room allocated to us was close to the pool so it could get a bit noisy when pool is in use and the room is also overlooking the main hotel grounds carpark so it could get loud at night with drop in guests who uses the hotel restaurants for a night out. But all quiet down after 11’sh. So requests a room away from these areas if you want an early night in.
As an Accor member, we got a pretty good price extended also.
Check in and check out went smoothly. We had breakfast in the hotel. $20 for adult and $17 for children which offered both hot and continental style and thumbs up for a proper barista that made the coffee as part of the breakfast price.
The property is only a 2km drive to main Castle Hill restaurants/ eateries where we had dinner. Plenty of choices.

I am a very regular patron at The Hills Lodge for many years now. In fact, I stay there so frequent, you could say it’s my second home.
I live in Port Macquarie however I have a well established business in Sydney with a office located at Bella Vista. I travel down to Sydney at least every second week and in some cases every week. Being such a regular traveller to Sydney it is very important for me to stay somewhere I feel comfortable, looked after and at home.
I want to express that the staff at The Hills lodge have made me feel all these things and more as they are always very friendly accommodating and helpful. There is one staff member however I feel stands above the rest, and is one of the main reasons I continue to return and stay at The Hills lodge. That person is the Facilities Manager Chris Davis. I have stayed in basically every luxury hotel in Sydney and I cannot say I have experienced the same level of service that I get from Chris.
Chris has always made it his goal to ensure, I as the customer is completely satisfied with such attention to detail. Chris has made it is job to know exactly what I need to make me feel at home for example which room types I like or what type of pillows I like. Chris knows I like the fan in my room, he knows I like bottled water in my room for when I go to the gym. All this is prepared in my room before I arrive without me even asking. I have always felt well looked after and accommodated which gives me such relief when I stay.
These little things and attention to detail make my constant travelling away from home much more pleasurable and the reason I continue to stay at The Hills Lodge.

I have been staying at the Hills Lodge for quite a few years now. The atmosphere is nice with a leafy country vibe. The staff are amazing and always make me feel at home.
The only criticism I have is the room service food is extremely overpriced. I ordered a piece of steak with a side of greens (nothing else) and it cost me $75. if you order a bottle of water as there is currently no mini bar due to covid they will charge you $5 additional just to deliver it to your room which is more then what the water costs to buy.
These sort of prices are not even charged at some of the best hotels in sydney. Including The Grand Hyatt, Four seasons, Sheraton Hyde Park, InterContinental Double Bay. I have stayed at all these places many times and room service prices don't even come close to what The Hills Lodge is charging.
There is also a lack of healthy options which makes it hard to maintain healthy eating when I am away from home.
In summary do enjoy staying at the hills lodge due to the staff and atmosphere however I do my best to avoid eating at the hotel as you will have limited healthy options and you will probably end up paying more than the hotel stay on food, beverages and room service

Our 2nd stay within 8 months. This time however our room had a smell, possible from a smoker? We had an event that night, so no time to complain before we had to head out again. All
Staff friendly but this time we were put in a room on the furthest point (room
25) . Instructions on how to get to it were incorrect from check in lady & we were given two breaky vouchers for $30 each (when we paid for bed/breaky)? At checkin we were asked about our day (so far) & commented on our delayed trip using bus, train, metro and Uber to arrive with our luggage-yet when we checked in, no assistance with our luggage so we had to cart bags up/down a staircase maze to find our room whilst feeling like a packhorse.
Breakfast was ok, still waiting on our egg order but again, staff were lovely.

We stayed here two nights recently. The hotel is well maintained and very clean. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had a basic room but it was relatively large with a good sized bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. There is underground parking with lift access. The hotel has a well maintained pool.
We ate breakfast in the restaurant and had dinner in the restaurant. The food was lovely, the service excellent. The hotel is near a bus service to the city (peak hour only) and other bus services to Castle Hill station, Parramatta and Norwest station are close by as well.

I’ve been pretty much living at this hotel while up in Sydney for the past 3 months. Today is my last week and I feel sad to not be coming back. Every now and then I would be booked at another place close by and I was devastated not to stay at the lodge! Staff are friendly, rooms always clean and huge! Remembering my face and name was a huge service plus. Parking is always available and I have stayed when they’ve had a few events on at once on weekends. The restaurant doesn’t have a lot of menu choices but honestly that would be because of how long I was stayed, for any normal person it would be decent! And what they do have is really great food! In total there’s probably been about 10-12 rooms I’ve stayed in and all of them have been well cleaned and have lots of space. A huge thank you to the team at the Lodge. It’s been so great staying here for the past few months (writing the review from my room during my last stay!)

This is the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at. I was amazed seeing the skirting boards and tv were completely dust free. I didn’t sneeze once (that’s my indicator of a dust free room) haha! The staff are just beautiful. The rooms are so quiet, the beds are comfortable, I love the bathrooms and the products in the shower being big bottles as is girlies all know the little bottles just don’t cut it when washing our hair especially. The bar is gorgeous and has a really nice vibe. I didn’t get to visit the day spa but will be on my next stay. My family always stay here when they go down to Sydney and I can see why.
I love that you can cast your streaming apps straight to the TV which makes it so much easier than logging in or watching “normal tv” and then forgetting to log out of your accounts. I was able to keep on top of my shows that night which was important to me hehe!
It’s tucked away in a quiet street, has so much parking including a secure underground carpark. Beautiful gardens outside. I didn’t get to hit the pool on this stay but it looks divine.
There is not one thing I could fault about this hotel. The price, the service, the cleanliness, the convenience, everything is A++++
The rooms are decorated so beautifully. It’s great to feel so ‘zen’ when out of the business of Castle Hill and surrounds. I had a great sleep and was so relaxed. Check out wasn’t until 11am so I got to have a nice lay in before re packing my suitcase and heading off.
This place definitely has my highest recommendation!

The ambiance of the Hills Lodge is very nice. The function room was nicely decorated and there were plenty of staff to offer drinks and canapes (included in the $85 package). However, it went downhill from there. The main courses of ham or turkey were served alternately. The ham was served in thick wedges, with two roast potatoes, and a tablespoon of French seeded mustard. It looked unappetizing and the ham was very salty. It was served on lukewarm gravy. The turkey meal consisted of 2 or 3 thick slabs of overcooked, dry turkey, sitting on lukewarm gravy. It was served with hard discs of what was supposed to be stuffing. It was inedible. There were no vegetables on the plate but it did have the lukewarm gravy! Some tables had almost finished eating what they could before plates of greens arrived. The best part of the meal! Dessert was somewhat better: plum pudding with custard and icecream (quite nice) or a type of pastry with cream and nectarines (again, quite nice). We then had a long line to make our own tea and coffee. The tea was fine. The coffee was made with a Nespresso machine, one cup at a time. By the time you added milk, it was cold. Nice flavor, but cold. No chocolates were offered with the tea and coffee. When this was queried, the staff quickly came out with little biscuits, too late to have with tea and coffee! All in all, it was a very disappointing experience, and not worth the money.

As good as this hotel is, it is miles away from Sydney - 30 minutes drive with no traffic and 1.5 hours peak hour.
If your are Accorplus member the pick of the hotels is Pullman grand quay. A bit pricey but best location and the rooms are suites with washing machine and dryer. The view is stunning and if your budget can handle it go for the harbour view room. You will not be disappointed!
The next choice would be the Sofitel which is classy and cheaper but not as well located.
yes it does to all levels and carpark
