I stay at The Hills Lodge when needing to attend medical appointments at Chatswood. On my last visit, I asked staff if they could call a cab for me to the local metro station. Instead, they offered the Lodge's shuttle bus which was ideal. On the return trip I phoned for pickup and was most impressed and surprised to find the bus arrive with the GM in the driver's seat. Now that is how to lead a good team, and impress the customers ... stepping in to fill a need. I will be back ... for the beer battered chips, as well as for the service! :)

I have been staying at the Hills Lodge for quite a few years now. The atmosphere is nice with a leafy country vibe. The staff are amazing and always make me feel at home. The only criticism I have is the room service food is extremely overpriced. I ordered a piece of steak with a side of greens (nothing else) and it cost me $75. if you order a bottle of water as there is currently no mini bar due to covid they will charge you $5 additional just to deliver it to your room which is more then what the water costs to buy. These sort of prices are not even charged at some of the best hotels in sydney. Including The Grand Hyatt, Four seasons, Sheraton Hyde Park, InterContinental Double Bay. I have stayed at all these places many times and room service prices don't even come close to what The Hills Lodge is charging. There is also a lack of healthy options which makes it hard to maintain healthy eating when I am away from home. In summary do enjoy staying at the hills lodge due to the staff and atmosphere however I do my best to avoid eating at the hotel as you will have limited healthy options and you will probably end up paying more than the hotel stay on food, beverages and room service

Hats off to the House Keeping team! Impressively clean room and bathUroom. Nicely fitted out room. Excellent a la carte breakfast. Very nice people and great service attitude. We stayed one night to be close to a family function. It was relaxing and enjoyable and highly recommended. The old style of the building is refreshing after so many cookie cutter hotels and motels.

The friendly welcoming service at the front desk really sets the Hills Lodge apart. The bed was comfortable and a good-sized bathroom with great shower. We also had breakfast a few mornings which was good - they have a range of different milks for people with dietary requirements and gluten free toast. Our recent stay was another enjoyable one - we will be back.

Having just moved house we decided to ignore all the boxes and simply escape to Hills Lodge for an overnight rest and recharge. Sheer heaven. The suite was large and extremely well appointed and dinner in the restaurant was just stunning.
