Our drive from Ivrea to Como proved hot and we finally found a hotel along the road on our way to Tirano in the North of Italy.
The Hotel Bellevue is a family run hotel and rooms are clean and tidy and simply furnished. Bathrooms also clean with a small bath and shower. Sadly the temperature was extremely high (41 degrees) at the time we were there. There are ceiling fans but no air conditioning. Needless to say sleep was lacking.
Our evening meal at the hotel was good as was our simple breakfast before we left the next day.
Interestingly we noticed the large number of immigrants not normally seen in Italy staying at the hotel. We were told that the Italian Government pays the hotel to accommodate these people. More
