This gated resort is beautiful. The area has lots to do and lots of places to eat within walking distance of the resort. At the time of this writing, there is a Jack In The Box within a 5 minute walk. There are little shops right outside the resort area, and a wonderful Escape room business within walking distance. The resort has a heated pool and hot tub outside. There are BBQ grills around the resort.

Inside, the resort is amazing. We stayed in an “A” house so our garage was not accessible from inside our resort room. To get to the main floor, you have to go down several stairs inside. While not a problem for us, if you have trouble with stairs you should mention that to the resort when making the reservations. We had 3 bedrooms…each room has it’s own bathroom, shower and very deep and wonderful bath tubs (no jacquzi).

The resort is a gated community, so we did not feel that there were any issues with security, and often just left our patio door unlocked when we walked around the area. It was very quiet.

Just a word of warning…while this is NOT a reflection of the resort itself, it is important to note about the area:

You are in the mountains. To get to Disneyland, Universal Studios, LA, Burbank, etc, you will have to drive down the mountain to get to the freeways to get to the cities. It is about a 45 drive around winding, curvy roads. You’ll go down about 3000 feet in elevation (no exaggeration…there are signs). Early in the morning and late at night we experienced very thick fog that make driving very difficult…at one point I could barely see the road in front of the car. This should not deter you from coming to this resort, but you should be aware. To get back to the resort, you driving back up that mountain. Just be careful.

Pay attention to the weather forecasts. We were here in May, and because you are so high up in the mountain, it was still getting down to 20 degrees at night. Often we would leave with winter coats on and when we go to the city area switched to light jackets. For example, the day we went to Disneyland, it was 32 degrees when we left at 6am and when we go to Disneyland, it was in the upper 50s at 8:30am.

We would typically try to rent a cabin and have in the past but with all the fees, deposits, etc -- it was just over the top for a two night stay. In addition, this trip we were bringing my dad and this was a great dual master type layout so both rooms on opposite ends and kids were comfortable on the sofa sleeper. Kitchen was fabulous. Service was great! We booked two nights and really wanted to stay a third, they were extremely helpful in making this happen since we booked through a third party. I can't recommend this place more. Thank you!!!

We just returned from a shortened 6 night trip to Bluegreen's Big Bear Resort. We are Bluegreen owners and have stayed at many BG locations and this resort would be close to the top of those. The location was right in Big Bear Lake village - you could walk to dining and shops. We were in a 2 bedroom unit facing the mountain. The pool and hot tub was open, but no other activities at the resort were open due to COVID. Next time I would ask for a unit facing the lake on the 3rd floor. Weather was fantastic, up until Friday night when a big storm was forecast with up to 18 inches of snow. We left a night early to avoid driving down off the mountain - we did not have chains and were afraid they were going to shut the roads down. Would definitely come back and stay. Staff were very helpful and informative. Unit was clean and cozy and had a garage as well.

The property is very beautiful and the position was great. The accomodation was very well appointed and comfortable.
Our room was not ready by when we arrived and it was actually a little after the supposed check in time. This is quite unprofessional and was frustrating.
Our car would not fit in the garage as they are very small spaces.
The noise from apartments above made it difficult to sleep or even relax. You could hear doors closing, plumbing and drainage, even people walking and talking!
We were also situated near to the lifts which were also very noisy!
There was no real view from the room- which was also disappointing.
Although we enjoyed our stay, I would probably not choose to stay here again. The property is not really appropriate for a couples stay and even though it had a great location, it wasn’t convenient or easily navigated due to its size and layout.
It also worked out quite expensive as we were paying for facilities we couldn’t use.

This resort was perfect for our family getaway to the snow. Adjacent to the Village, there are great restaurants and shops in walking distance. The unit has big soaking tubs in each bathroom, and a fireplace in the living room and master bedroom. The kitchen was the best equipped of any condo we've stayed at yet. We didn't use the pool or hot tub but it looked nice. There is a great area where my littles could play in the snow and slide down a small hill; they had the best time and I loved that it was just steps from our door. We had to park diagonally in the garage to get the truck to fit, but we made it work. My only complaint would be the TV remotes are confusing, but overall it was a 99.9% perfect experience.

Although a little higer point value, the place was outstanding. From a friendly check-in to a large 2 bedroom condo with a personal garage, the overall experience was worth it. I wish we could have stayed a few more nights as we did not get a chance to see the pool or hot tub area.

This is one of the nicest resorts I’ve stayed. The location and accommodating is fantastic and the staff is very friendly. The pool and jacuzzi are pretty small, so we probably won’t use it, also due to COVID the gym is not open.
There are lots to do within walking distance, from restaurants, stores, and trails.

Love Bluegreen... We had another great stay. The pool water as nice and warm. I took a picture with the snow on the background.

Free lemonade, popcorn and games. We played pool, table tennis and table 🏑.

I called the front desk and asked that very question about the time share/fractional ownership. It used to be that type of property, but has changed to a hotel (maybe some people still have a time share). But she assured me no sales office at the property. Deposit is refundable if no damage.
