Had a lovely 3 day stay here. Room 7 was very spacious and tastefully decorated making it a very relaxing break. The food in the Restaurant is delicious and first class. The Managers Andrew and Bev very attentive and welcoming, nothing too much trouble and perfect hosts! Look forward to visiting again.

We stayed here just for one night having visited the nearby excellent Old Walls Vineyard, which looks a short walk away on the road map but in reality in getting there is comparable to the ascent of Everest. We were warmly welcomed by our host and shown to our room by Bev who had the foresight to book us in... More

The hotel kindly let us bring our two cocker spaniels. We were in room 10. Which was lovely, clean, modern and had ample supply of tea and coffee. The only negative I have is that the pillows were quite hard. But having said that I'm sure had we asked they would have done their best to accommodate. We had a meal... More

Three of us enjoyed wonderful home cooked food in a recently refurbished local pub/hotel. The food was well cooked and was more than ample. Not only was there a choice of sunday roast but a full menu as well........The service was superb and every effort was made to feel us welcome. The recent refurbishment has made this venue an establishment... More

As a Bishopsteignton village family, we were keen to try out the newly refurbished local but were sadly disappointed. The food is standard pub fare, fine but nothing special. However, we were made to feel wholly uncomfortable being there with children. From the clientele tonight, and watching the comings and goings, it would seem that if you are a retired... More

The decor and ambience are a very pleasant place to eat from a good menu that sits at a good price point for the varied and fine food on offer .The service and attention from the staff was first rate .Could do with a few more real ales to choose from is the only small bit missing from what was... We arrived there and had a lovely welcome. Lunches had finished but the chef had not left so they very kindly made us up a sandwich which was served elegantly with salad etc. Food here caters for all tastes, from ordinary bar food to specials. I like good food and the chef is excellent and I would recommend eating here.... More

I stayed one night and wished it had been for longer. Impressive as soon as you walk into the place - clean, eye-catching as high quality Devon country pubs/hotels are, friendly owners and staff, a dog that wants to be your friend !! The bedroom was just lovely - very clean, stylish decor, simple but quality with plenty space. Free... More

What a super welcome we were given. There were 8 of us in 6 rooms and all rooms were very good. Every one of the party were happy. The food in the restaurant was of a high quality and plenty of it. The make over made the hotel seem very special. The breakfast was excellent and included a very nice... More
