We were staying in the village so visited here twice, once for a meal and once just for drinks. Staff were very good on both visits and the beer excellent. The pub has a nice atmosphere and seems to be very popular with locals and visitors alike. The vegetarian options were not very interesting but definitely more than adequate. However,... More

Arrived here for a meal at the end of a long day's walk as part The Herriott Way. We received a warm welcome and staff weren't fazed by our wet walking gear! There was a slight confusion when ordering as we hadn't realised we were supposed to wait at the table for our order to be taken and went to... More

A friend and I stayed at Bridge Inn when we walked the Herriot Way. It was the 3rd accommodation we'd stayed at. We had a twin room. It had all the required facilities but the bathroom, whilst spacious, appeared rather tired and could do with modernising. The beds - the most important thing after a day walking! - were comfortable.... More

My wife and I ate here whilst in Swaledale and were slightly disappointed - the reviews from Tripadvisor suggested a better level of food. We were both struggling to capture why this did not live up to expectations but in simple terms there was nothing about the food that stood out - it was cooked Ok and hot but both... More

We visited last year and the food and service was excellent. It was a big disappointment this year. Sticky tables in the restaurant, dirty menus (even though they are paper and on a clip board!), burnt pie crusts and burger bun, overcooked floppy and unpleasant veg. Also a very poor selection for vegetarians plus a very unhelpful attitude from the... More

Gorgeous pub, great food, friendly & professional staff and amazing GnT (go for the monkey 47). Easy place to walk to from reeth (round walk from the swing bridge then back via reeth bridge takes 15-20 mins each way). Been for dinner a few times and always enjoyed it. Locally sourced fresh food & regularly changing specials menu so always... More

We were there for 2 nights and we felt the whole place needed a very deep clean. The Inn coped very well an influx of diners and people wishing to watch a football match. The staff were very friendly. Checking-out was a little confused.

Hadn't been to The Bridge for almost three years but we weren't disappointed because nothing had changed. The rooms are (arguably) a bit dated but are clean & tidy and everything works as it should. Landlord Andrew is friendly and knowledgable about the local area and his staff are uniformly excellent. Five hand pumps dispense a good range of well-kept... More

We were staying in Reeth but upon advice decided to try The Bridge Inn, we were certainly not disappointed, the place was busy, very busy however food was served quickly and could not be faulted, everything homemade, absolutely delicious. Our next short break will be at The Bridge Inn for sure, if only to try the breakfast!

Whilst staying in nearby Reeth we discovered this pub, the selection of ales were great and kept well. We booked for food and were not disappointed, food was good and despite being very busy we didn't have to wait too long and the waiting staff were very helpful.
