Our accommodation was just perfect, my husband and I stayed for three nights and returned to stay a further night before flying back to Zanzibar. We LOVED everything about this property. It was my 60th Birthday and Blandine baked a beautiful cake making my Birthday a very special one. The team arranged outdoor breakfast, presented the cake, sang and made my day so special. The wonderful, quite and respectful Kepora was so kind, helpful and took us on local guided walks. On Sunday morning we woke up to beautiful church singing, a true voice of Africa. Blandina organised a trip to a local coffee plantation and Kepora advise us to take a trip to Sneak Park which was fantastic, Kepora has a great knowledge of birds and wildlife. Our accommodation was superb, we enjoyed everything, food location etc and I strongly advise anyone travelling near Arusha, Lake Manyara, Mt Kilimajaro etc to stay at this wonderful lodge with a very welcoming and helpful team. Thanks to Blandina and Kepora and all the team for making our stay so special. Rita and Shea - Ireland

Driving up to the location, one would appear to be worried based on the location. However, once inside the gate, we had a wonderful experience. The team was very accommodating to our needs and this was a great spot to relax for an evening. A small resort only accommodating 20ish folks a night, they have a very personalized experience to all visitors. Highly recommend

We stayed at Kutoka Lodge the night before we started our Safari as the lodge is located in Arusha, nearby Lake Manyara and Serengeti (great location to start the trip). The hotel is unique, with an open lounge and restaurant as well as a cozy fire place which is where you want to be in the evening as it can get quite cold. The lodge contains only a few but really nice bungalows with cozy beds and everything you need for a short stay. The food was delicious and the staff really sweet and helpful. Asante sana!

At the end of our safari, before our flight to Zanzibar, we stayed at Kutoka Lodge. This overnight stay was unforgettable due to the excellent service. The staff was exteremely friendly and made you feel truly valued as a guest. The atmosphere was really peaceful and the food very delicious (the taste of the stir fried vegetables was probably the best we had in Tanzania). Additionally, we were surprised with a romantic dinner by the campfire. The lodge is clean and appears to be either new or recently renovated.

Kutoka sent their driver for a separate, previously agreed fee to pick us up with whom we had a good chat on the way from the airport. The next day our safari driver was already waiting for us at breakfast, had no issue to find the property. The staff actually spoke with our tour operator in the evening upon our arrival to re-confirm the pickup hour the next day. During our stay we arrived late from the airport, and were the only family staying that night in two different houses on the property. Despite the late hour we had the entire team welcome us with a big smile and some fresh fruit drinks. They were so attentive that we were offered two houses closer to each other but we stayed with our original pick (few steps further away). Breakfast was great, service was polite and welcoming. Credit card is accepted at checkout. Location is good on the way to a safari. An oasis of peace and a good pick for the region. The place is clean with all the amenities needed and the garden is beautiful.

Liked: We stayed here three nights altogether, pre and after a safari trip. We were the only guests and received a lot of attention. As has been noted, the Lodge is fairly new and is just building up again after Covid. The room we stayed in had a great view of the garden and Mt Meru in the distance - even a distant view of Kilimanjaro one evening. The gardens were a delight, clearly a labour of love of the owners, and we spent a lot of time bird-watching. The food was good, without being spectacular. However, the coffee was spectacular! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the young man who waited on us and looked after our needs was very attentive and charming. Hedgehogs are pretty rare in Africa in my experience but they have one here!
Disliked · Just one thing that we could and should have raised while we were there. The bathroom sink taps, rather oddly heavy industrial type, didn't work. We were shown a "trick" to get them going but they never worked for us. The wonderful sunsets on the balcony are accompanied by distant road noise but Tanzania is a busy country and it's hard to find quiet, except in the middle of the Serengeti, and even there the lions and hippos keep you awake.

Fantastic place! Quiet and beautiful, with very friendly staff. You can relax, rest and „recharge” in beautiful scenery, drinking superb coffee and eating tasty meals. And since the place is run by locals, you support local people by staying there.

I wanted to stay in Arusha for a few days after my safari and am really happy that I found Kutoka Lodge. It’s not too far away from the city, but far enough for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing stay. The whole place is beautiful, I loved the Maasai-inspired huts and the great rooms. The entire staff was very kind and attentive and the food was great. There are even massages on offer!
They also helped me to book a city tour of Arusha with a very good operator (Deeper Serengeti Safaris) and a visit to a coffee plantation nearby.
I would definitely come here again any time I’m in Arusha. Special thanks to Blandina for the fast help with everything and to Kepora for great service and interesting conversations.

We only stayed for 1 night as we were on our way from the airport to Tarangire/Serengeti NPs as we arrived early evening. The staff was very nice and called our driver to check with us what we would like to have for dinner. Dinner was fantastic!
The room was huge, and we had a very spacious shower! In the morning, we had time to check out their nice garden as our pick-up was running late. The staff took the time to explain & explore all the different birds in the tree :) This is a very nice hotel in case you need a place around Arusha.
