Wonderful stay in paradise. My first go at glamping was perfect - everything was comfortable, clean and breezy. The grounds were fantastic with beautiful flowers and lots of privacy. Homemade, healthy and delicious breakfasts on the veranda were highlight of the day. I would recommend hiring a car as it was little off the main road and would be hard to get to after dark if you were walking. Really easy to get everywhere and fun exploring all the back roads.

We have returned this afternoon from a week’s ‘second honeymoon’, celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary and staying at Ikurangi Eco Resort. What a treat! We just loved everything about our stay. The peace and quiet, the out door bathroom (I really want one at home- magic), Allan’s sumptuous breakfast at 8.20 every morning - always different and yummy ….. and so much more. Vicki and Alan went well beyond the call of duty to make sure our stay had everything we needed. They organised car hire, event attendance, rescued my stupidity with the in-room safe and so the list goes on. Of course we fell in love with Rarotonga completely (despite rain each day) and enjoyed everything we saw, did and ate! Hiring a car for the last few days made a difference to our flexibility and capability. We highly recommend Ikurangi resort. Beats being in the midst of a large and busy resort hands down! Love to think we’ve back - we’ll see! Mei Taki!

Beautiful location with friendly and accommodating hosts. The breakfast smoothies were delicious. Some more cooking facilities on site would be great as there are not a lot of restaurants etc close by. A very peaceful and relaxing space

Been wanting to go glamping and so glad my first experience was here! Spent 3 fabulous nights at Ikurangi Eco Resort. I was greeted with open arms by lovely owners Vicki and Alan. Beautiful property a little off the beaten path with gorgeous mountain views. Great way to be forced to relax! I stayed in a luxury tent and it was beautiful. Large, comfortable open space to kick back. I honestly thought I'd miss my TV but nope, not at all ( only 1 channel on Raro anyway). Totally enjoyed nature at its best. Alan made breakfast each morning and brought it to my tent. A filling healthy, delicious breakfast to get me going each day. That monkey bowl...omg! Tea and coffee are provided in your tent. The pool looked refreshing but I did not indulge. I did rent a car and there is free parking. Vicki and Alan are terrific hosts. Present if you need them and nice to chat with. Highly recommend Ikurangi for your next visit to Raro!

What an amazing, relaxing place to stay. Our safari tent was massive and the outdoor bathroom was more than a novelty - it was beautiful and matched the tropical feel of the tent perfectly. You couldn't ask for more while relaxing on the balcony. Our hosts, Vicki and Alan, were very hospitable and accommodating, and Possum the cat was super friendly, welcoming us with lots of purrs when we first arrived! The breakfast prepared daily by Alan and delivered to our balcony was outstanding! Made vegan to our request and it was the best breakfast we had during our stay on Rarotonga. Out of the way, off the beaten track and it felt like an oasis. For a 'getting-away-from-it-all' holiday, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better place than here.

If you want the big resort with cocktails, don’t book here. If you want something a little bit different, set away from the bustle, with a touch of luxe, give it a look! Vicki and Alan are great hosts and go above and beyond for the guests. Reception availability was socialised well, and there were phones to contact them outside these times if needed. Our first night in the tent was the coldest in memory! There were calls for a Civil Defence Emergency because it was under 20 degrees 😂. We had a very comfortable stay, plenty warm enough in the tents. The access to the bikes and easy walk to the ring road more than make up for the relative distance from the touristy spots.

We had a wonderful stay at Ikurangi eco retreat. The breakfasts were delicious, creative and a real highlight! The owners were helpful with any queries and the garden and grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed a few lovely dips in the salt water pool and a hike up the mountain to 'the needle'. Would stay here again!!

We stayed at Ikurangi Eco Retreat in January 2023 traveling with my wife and two children (young adults). The rooms were extremely comfortable and although no air-con was installed, this was not necessary as the room design captured the prevailing winds and there was always a comfortable and cooling breeze through the room. The gardens surrounding our rooms were lovely and well maintained, the pool was refreshing, and the view of the rain forest from our balcony was spectacular. Every morning Alan delivered breakfast to our balcony which was always different and always yummi. Vicki was always happy to provide advice on things to see and do and made a number of bookings for us. Travelling with young adults I confess that we were initially slightly worried that the location was a wee bit isolated, however we soon sorted out how the island bus service operates and where to catch it from - using the bus, we travelled all over the island visiting restaurants, bars and other attractions including great snorkeling at multiple different locations. For shorter trips, the bicycles supplied proved really handy. Overall, a wonderful place to stay in Rarotonga.
