We just spent 3 nights at Le Prieure and enjoyed our stay tremendously. Elizabeth and her husband, Mike, were warm and welcoming. Elizabeth helped us plan our days in the Dordogne and her ideas made the trip particularly wonderful. Although Biron is slightly off the beaten track, it is well worth driving a bit to stay at this gem. The...

We enjoyed a two night stay at beautiful Le Prieure May 2013 as part of a two-week visit to the Dordogne. Unfortunately, the spring weather was quite rainy with strong wind when we arrived. How comforting it was to enter Le Prieure's historic thick walls, see the delightful interiors so tastefully arranged, and feel protected and warm. Our room, the...

We recently returned from a fantastic week staying at The Prieure. A most beautiful building located just outside the walls of Chateau de Biron. Elizabeth the proprietor has wonderful taste, the property and rooms are furnished with gorgeous french furniture and lovely art work, creating a very special and elegant atmosphere. The property is spotless and we felt lucky to...

The rest of the reviews here are right. Le Prieure is simply wonderful...lovely rooms, great breakfast, charming hosts, quiet, relaxing and stylish...whats not to like! We had a beautiful room which was more like a self contained flat and it had everything and more one could wish for. The Bastide towns are all within easy reach and Elisabeth and husband...

This is a beautiful b &b. Extremely clean, high class furnishings, gorgeous rooms in a typical French house. This has a boutique feel, and has the wow factor. It's simply gorgeous. The owners are very laid back and make you feel very at home. No airs or graces here, you can relax and have your own key to come and...

My husband and I just stayed at the Prieure for 3 nights and we highly recommend it. The rooms are beautiful, the beds comfortable, the breakfast perfect and the owner delightful. If you appreciate lovely interior design you will enjoy the Prieure. The decor should be in a magazine. The atmosphere is incredible…I wish I could stay all summer!

Our room was extremely spacious and beautifully decorated. In fact the whole property is decorated in wonderful taste. A great location to return to after fantastic days exploring the Dordogne countryside. Thank...

A charming B&B for five blissful nights in late September, with an equally charming and most helpful bi-lingual host, Elizabeth Vedier. Excellent advice on nearby restaurants and places to visit; even to closing our windows at night if the roaring noise of rutting stags in the adjacent fields disturbed our sleep! Given a warm welcome on arrival in spite of...

Wallow in a little luxury at Le Prierure while you tour the Dordogne. Rooms overlook the terrace and green fields at the back and the chateau in...

You will read many superlatives in others' reviews of Le Prieure and after 4 days there I have to say that I can only agree with them. Elizabeth offers the warmest of French welcomes blended with the highest level of attention to detail and service.
