My wife and I spent 3 nights at Monteverdi and the experience was wonderful. We drove from Florence, taking a scenic route via Siena. GPS certainly helped the navigation. This was a place where we could truly relax and appreciate the simple luxury of tranquility....More

Have to admit we were unlucky with the weather and when staying in a place like this, it will make all the difference. The tiny little restored village is cute, but you should know that there is nothing else than the hotel and its grounds...More

We plan to stay at this hotel in July, arriving via fast train from Milan. Do you recommend we book the train to arrive in Florence or Siena, and then rent a car to Monteverdi? I'm trying to figure out the easiest arrival city nearby so we can rent a car while at Monteverdi. Thank you
