We will spice it up for you with delicious local prosciutto, pancetta and freshly baked homemade bread. You will feel Slovenia, Karst, our great nature and tradition.
Hisa Krasna is a lovely family-owned affair. The proprietors are a lovely couple who take pride in every detail.
Dinner is spectacular. Five courses, not including the "amuse bouche" -- small savory items served before the meal, a chef's gift. The courses include trout from the Soca river and venison from the Slovenian forests. Each course has an associated Slovenian wine pairing (small pours).
Amazing stay. We highly recommend this establishment.
Hisa Krasna is a gorgeous hotel run by Dajana and Boris in the small village of Lovek. It is very convenient if visiting the Lipica stud and Skocjam caves. Our room was immaculately clean and comfortable, and a very tranquil setting. The highlight is the food, all cooked from local ingredients and beautifully presented, dinner was exceptional. Our hosts could not be more welcoming and friendly.
Really amazing hotel, so friendly and helpful and the food and wine, their own, was delicious. We cycled and stayed one night - 2 vegan, 3 vegetarians and 2 meat eaters - all really enjoyed our meals. Nothing was too much trouble for the family owners. Superb.

Excellent composition of the courses with regional ingredients and very finely tuned wine recommendations. Very high quality. The passion with which the hosts run this business and entertain the guests can be seen immediately in every little detail. The stylishly renovated building and the tasteful furnishings make your stay a real experience.

We were part of a group of 10 travelers and were fortunate to have had two nights at this wonderful and very comfortable guest house. Our hosts, Boris and Ana, have built their home as a welcoming place to stay for a couple, with friends, or with family. The rooms (each with en suite) are very comfortable, clean, and quiet. The breakfast offerings were plentiful and delicious, and if you can, reserve a wine tasting and dinner service with them as well the food and wine pairings were out of this world! Krasna is in Lokev, not far from Ljubljana, the Postojna cave and it is very close to Lipiça, home of the Lippizzaner horses. All in all, it is the perfect place to stay and we hope to be back again someday!

I have never described a place better with this saying. When I first stepped into the house, the house smelled fresh, clean, and warm. Everything was spotlessly clean with a tiny hint of the scent of lavender. Our room was spacious with a super comfortable bed, super comfortable shower, but all these are just the icing on the cake of our gracious and warmest hosts. Every day we wake up, we are greeted with the happiest “Good morning! Dobro jutro!” And when we come home, we get hugs and kisses and “welcome home!” We felt so instantaneously connected to this place, and just when we thought things couldn’t get more perfect, we tasted the dinner they have prepared for us. We traveled from New York, USA, for a conference in Slovenia, and the conference organisers found out I love horses, they arranged a tour to the world-famous Lipizzaner Stud Farm and our hosts at Hiša Krasna helped them book a personal ride on a Lipizzaner horse for me! We couldn’t recommend this place any more! We felt welcomed, we felt loved, we felt like we’re home.…
