The house of Krasna is a small family hotel with five suites that provide accommodation for 11 guests in totall (with additional beds up to 16). Zarja, RoĹľa, Luna, Vita and Brina are the names of our suites, since each has a unique colour, soul and personality. All suites are spacious, bright and well furnished, providing supreme comfort and relaxation. Bathrooms are luxurious and charming. You can also enjoy our restaurant, big outdoor terrace, wine cellar and the great hall. Visit our restaurant where you can taste local delicacies from the Karst region. Our experienced chef can blend traditional foods with modern time Karst flavours. Our wine cellar provides the space where you can taste excellent wines from the Karst and other Slovenian wine-growing regions. We will spice it up for you with delicious local prosciutto, pancetta and freshly baked homemade bread. You will feel Slovenia, Karst, our great nature and tradition.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travelers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
Hisa Krasna is a lovely family-owned affair. The proprietors are a lovely couple who take pride in every detail.
Dinner is spectacular. Five courses, not including the "amuse bouche" -- small savory items served before the meal, a chef's gift. The courses include trout from the Soca river and venison from the Slovenian forests. Each course has an associated Slovenian wine pairing (small pours).
Amazing stay. We highly recommend this establishment.

Hisa Krasna is a gorgeous hotel run by Dajana and Boris in the small village of Lovek. It is very convenient if visiting the Lipica stud and Skocjam caves. Our room was immaculately clean and comfortable, and a very tranquil setting. The highlight is the food, all cooked from local ingredients and beautifully presented, dinner was exceptional. Our hosts could not be more welcoming and friendly.

Really amazing hotel, so friendly and helpful and the food and wine, their own, was delicious. We cycled and stayed one night - 2 vegan, 3 vegetarians and 2 meat eaters - all really enjoyed our meals. Nothing was too much trouble for the family owners. Superb.

Excellent composition of the courses with regional ingredients and very finely tuned wine recommendations. Very high quality. The passion with which the hosts run this business and entertain the guests can be seen immediately in every little detail. The stylishly renovated building and the tasteful furnishings make your stay a real experience.

Perfect location for a quiet stay in the wine region. The owners were the perfect hosts and very welcoming. The food was amazing and we enjoyed a wonderful, top class taster menu. Highly reccomended.

This restaurant is one of the Best in Slovenia. We ordered 6 hourses menu and all together was amazing the Best . I think they must to receive mischelin star. Congratulation to the staff and chef in the cousine. We will return for sure ! All the ingredients were home made .

New, luxurious rooms and bathrooms for pampering, great local food and wine list. The starting point for trips around Kras and learn about beauty : Ĺ kocjan caves, horses in Lipica, lavender fields, Karst villages, trip to the seaside ... Just a perfect holiday !

If you need to calm down, or if you have just one day or two left on your trip, you must visit Hisa Krasna. Very nice, warm and helpfull family, excellent accommodations, beautiful terace and romantic rooms. I have been there just for one day and I will come back for sure.

We stayed at Hisa Krasna for two nights during our trip to Slovenia. It is located in the small town of Lokev. It is a quiet and peaceful town. The property is well signposted on the main road and easy enough to find. Sat Nav worked fine too. We were greeted by a very nice, young lady who checked us in and showed us to our room. The rooms appear to be either on the ground floor or first floor. Up a small staircase. Some rooms are then found off the upper balcony, as ours was. We had the Luna room. The room was very spacious with a large main room, an entrance room that had a wardrobe and mirror in, and a large bathroom. The bed was comfortable and there were a variety of pillows to choose from. There was a sofa that could have been changed into a bed. There was no television, or radio, in the room. It was quiet and peaceful. The room and the bathroom were nicely decorated. Good, hot shower. It was very hot in Slovenia while we were there - around 30C most of the time. There was no air conditioning and no fan. Even if you left the shutters on the windows closed all day it was still very warm at night. We had bought an electric fan earlier in our trip and this did the trick for cooling down at night. We slept reasonably well. There was an outdoor seating area up on the upper balcony, which was nice to sit in one evening. There was also a communal TV and games room at the top of the stairs between the sets of rooms, but we never used it. The B&B smelt lovely. It is very nicely decorated and well presented. They had a garden outside in a courtyard where you could eat breakfast. There was also a restaurant downstairs, open to all, and a toilet. Breakfast was modest with a few cereals, some bread, some spreads, eggs, and juices and fruit. Not an amazing selection but enough to start the day. During our first breakfast, we were presented with two small glasses of sparkling wine! Apparently it's good for the digestion! We did a wine tasting down in the wine cellar at an additional charge. It was just the two of us and Boris (one of the owners) and we tasted 3 good wines and ate some of their homemade prosciutto. Both very good. The owners of the B&B are lovely. Very friendly and helpful. They are nice to talk with and interesting to get to know. They obviously love their B&B and have put a lot of hard work and effort into it. This was a lovely place to stay. We really enjoyed it here. Highly recommended. Would definitely stay again if in the area. (We had dinner in the restaurant both nights - food was excellent! Also highly recommended!)

Immaculate, well run family hotel, with generous rooms. Very welcoming and warm-informal and you feel at home. Excellent, imaginative, contemporary cuisine and well paired Slovenian wines, thanks to their guidance. Lots of local goodies at breakfast, setting you up nicely for the day. Some good walking locally, including up the hill to Italy.
