We usually enjoy beach/pool holidays but this was totally different. La Tagliata is 5 kilometres up from Positano, up narrow winding roads to the little hamlet of Montepertuso and then a little further to the amazing views overlooking the Amalfi coast. There are only two rooms to stay at La Tagliata, our room Limonella was only small but beautiful and...

After 8 years, my wife and I want to visit La Tagliata again. By the time we got there from Maiori, it was past lunch time. The chef owner was nice and gracious enough to seat us after I explained my desire was built all the way from Florida to revisit this place for a nice lunch. He said, we...

I can't say enough good things about this trattoria. The food is out of this world, nothing fancy, just really really tasty food. There is no menu, you simply choose a lighter lunch or full meat option - then the wonderfully friendly staff begin to bring out plate after plate of food. It's a family business and they grow much/all...

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Warm and friendly staff perfectly complimented our tastes of Italy. Food was amazing and wine was plentiful. Thank you Pepito and Mumma. A real treat in our last night in Positano.

This place has it all from incredible views, to friendly staff and service, to great Italian food. Bread and wine, and traditional appetizer, pasta, meat, dessert brought out family style. So much food, this place is a must for a heavy appetite, and a bargain for €40 per person which includes their house wine! Make sure to make a reservation...

Both our driver and the hotel suggested this dining experience high in the hills behind Positano. Diners get collected from their hotels and taken on a breathtaking bus ride high high up. We arrived just in time for sunset and the views and ambiance amazing. The set meal for 40euro includes food, drinks and transfers - so great value The...

Wife and I just completed a week on Amalfi coast and the lunch at La Tagliata was one the best food experiences we had. They have a set menu and almost all the items were of high quality ! The best were the auto pastis and pastas. The "light meal" option is quite sufficient for even a hungry person (and...

We didn't know what to expect but Wow!! View amazing food the best in Italy so far! A real home cooked style Italian meal cooked by nonna!! The dinner blew our family away! We all enjoyed it and rolled out the door!! Even the wine was homemade and the lemoncello topped off a superb night! One price and 4 course...

We randomly found this place while driving by and decided to stop. The view is breathtaking and the staff is extremely nice. We really enjoyed the food and would definitely come back here again and recommend it to friends! Thank you for the friendly treatment!

This place has great views and that's about it. The food is absolutely horrible- not only is it the most greasy Americanized version of Italian cuisine on the Amalfi coast but the staff incorrectly informs diners that the only payment me this is cash, when they do in fact accept credit cards. I will say the stuffed shells (2 shells...
