This must be the best guesthouse in the UK. On the secluded isle of Canna we found a home. Thanks to the superb care of Colin and David, the owners, we had a marvelous stay at this beautiful house, which is decorated like an art deco museum. Colin's cooking was great, they made everything we wanted possible and we couldn't... More

Another lovely stay at Tighard Guesthouse. If you have not been here yet, you should. Wonderful location, outstanding rooms, great food and, as ever, friendly welcoming service from owners Colin and David. A unique place you should visit. The best B&B in Scotland.

It's difficult to praise this B&B more than it has been. The Isle of Canna is a small island and staying on them whilst comfortable is not normally luxurious. Tighard is a high end luxury B&B. The house is Art Deco throughout with stunning views from the front of the house across the bay to Sanday Island and beyond to... More

... spent three nights in this excellent guest house. The hosts, David and Colin, were so welcoming and friendly to their lovely house with the most amazing views. Food, cooked by Colin, was extremely delicious and served at a beautifully-appointed table. There were many extras to be enjoyed such as port in the bedroom, bottles of water, mouth-watering biscuits and... More

Tighard, and my hosts Colin and David, excelled in every way. The house was fascinating, the books were endless and interesting, the breakfasts were the best I've ever had (and the biggest!!) The room was spotless, the furnishings fit the period of the house, the ''tea and coffee provisions'' were bountiful and top quality, the bathroom was luxurious, and the... More

Tighard Guest House is a short walk from the ferry, firstly along the flat road then up a winding path by the community shop that leads you up to the front garden. David was kind enough to pick me up so I didn't have to carry my bags, which was great because I had the dog's travel bag too. My... More

We had a very enjoyable stay here. Two nights, and sadly the one whole day was VERY wet and windy during a patch other otherwise brilliant highland weather. Room very large. Bed very comfortable. Brilliant views from bedroom and from sitting room. Extras included home made the best cherry chocolate fudge (sadly not there for the second night, even the... More
