Don't expect a mountain hut or SAC standard - they refurbished the house and the rooms are very nice and neat. There are double rooms with single or double beds, be sure to check when booking. All rooms have view in direction of Beatenberg and the funicular, bathrooms & toilets are separate on every floor. The personnel is very friendly...

Berghaus Niederhorn is a unique place. This past May visit was my 7th visit to the mountain. From the Berghaus, you can experience stunning views of the famous Bernese Oberland, including the Eiger, Munch and Jungfrau. There are trails that lead down the mountain and through the Jusistal. These valleys are densely populated with wildlife and Alpine flora. Apart from...

The accomodation itself is very comfortable for a mountain hut: most mountain huts have uncomfortable bunk beds in large rooms that you have to share with all other guests. I went to this Berghaus in late June. If you have a luck with weather, the panorama is among the best you can get around. You can observe whole Berner Oberland when you hike towards Burgfeldstand. To the right Eiger North face, Monch and Jungfrau, and to the left huge cliffs falling towards Justistal, city of Thun and lake of...

What a wonderful place! From Niederhorn you get a panorama view of some of Switzerland's breathtakingly beautiful mountains and lake Thun. It is definitely worth a visit! The rooms are simple, but cosy and with a view. The staff was really friendly and the food good. No problem being vegetarian :-) It's easy (and fun) to take the cableway to...

Berghaus Niederhorn is a real gem - the view has to be one of the best in the Alps - the food is great and the staff are friendly - it's a very relaxed atmosphere. Our overnight stay was fantastic - it's so peaceful in the evenings and if the sky is clear, the view is magical. We've visited in...
