Fantastic spacious room with every comfort. Friendly staff and a few nice touches such as complimentary tea and cake in the afternoon. Of course corona meant there were some restrictions with regards to the breakfast buffet. I was surprised however that no local fruit was on offer. The supermarkets were full of strawberries raspberries and apricots but so sign of any of these. Particularly surprising since the hotel tries hard to sell its sustainability credentials (oranges, kiwis and pineapple easily replaceable in summer). For breakfast we had a lovely seat in the winter garden, spoiled only by the hundreds of dead flies in the internal sun protection sails - which fell occasionally to the carpet or furniture below. Although the hotel offers WiFi it hardly worked. When I questioned this I was informed that there was indeed a technical problem. I would have appreciated a more proactive communication by the hotel or even an apology or some kind of compensation.

We stayed at a partner lodge nearby so had access to this hotel spa. It is a nice facility with several spa options including massage, steam room, Finnish sauna, Russian style sauna, cold pool for apres sauna, hot tub/whirlpool, and fitness area. While the pool area is a swimsuit area, the spa itself is thankfully not. Although it is a bit strange to have the workout area immediately near the sauna...my wife just thought it peculiar to come out of the sauna to a workout area. This is a nice traditional sauna/spa so expect coed nudity in all areas beyond the pool. Some wore swimwear in the whirlpool but not all. There are separate locker rooms for those who would like that, but also a coed room which is perfect with lockers, changing stall, and shower. We will return again!

Our second visit to this wonderful hotel was at New Year 2020. (The first was at Easter.) Close to the top of the Kander valley, it is very peaceful staying here, surrounded by beautiful mountains. The spa in the hotel is fantastic with no less than 4 different saunas, as well as spa baths, steam rooms and a salzarium! The staff are very friendly and wonderfully helpful. It really felt like being part of the family. They even welcomed our 2 cats!

My wife and I met with family as part if a birthday celebration. We stayed for just one night. The hotel is attractive, old school alpine furnished, like in the late 1950s, very stylish. The breakfast was sumptuous, try the beefhash in rösti, mmmm! The dinner was five stars, perfect roast beef and plenty if it, beautiful vegetables and potato gratin. The desert was a clever mix of desserts which together would make a carrot cake. The wine list was excellent and generally drinks were moderately priced for Switzerland. The service was generally good, not all speak good German but all were friendly and helpful. We did not try the wellness but the rest of the family were impressed with it. Generally a great place to go fir a long weekend to chill out and let yourself be pampered!

We stayed in their Junior Suite for 3 nights - absolutely gorgeous room - loved the modern chic chalet feel. Gorgeous view of the mountain. Free parking. Free shoe cleaning - we really needed that after hiking in mud. The service level was top notch - very friendly staff. We were there on half-board - excellent food. Very generous breakfast buffet. We had the same table reserved for us for all three days - very nice touch with the little "reserved for xxxx" written on a card. The spa facilities were disappointing. It has a lot of potential but it's badly managed and the layout doesn't make much sense. The massage area is located just in front of the pool which means screaming kids... They have 4 types of Saunas but not all of them seemed to be working properly. The steam batch was way too hot. There is a tiny fitness area which is located just in front of the sauna so its quite awkward. What was particularly bizarre is that there were people wearing bathing suits while in the sauna / steam bath area - very unhygienic - that's when I decided to no longer use those facilities. The masseuse was average.. Apart from the spa / massage facilities, everything was perfect!
