We really enjoyed our stay in Kandersteg and the super cozy Chalet-Hotel Adler. We had booked a loveroom package and we could enjoy a jacuzzi in the room as well as very nice 3-course dinner on the first night and a fondue on the second. In spite of a pretty bad weather on the second day, we really enjoyed walking...

For my 20th birthday, I got one night in Kandersteg with my boyfriend. He booked a loveroom with a whirlpool. I looked so much forward to this. Just the two of us enjoying a romantic evening together in the Swiss alps. The whirlpool in the room, is possible to somehow "drive outside" from your room, and really enjoy the Swiss...

I've stayed at the Chalet-Hotel Adler many times and it has reached the point where a little tender loving care would not go amiss. The rooms are quite small but each one has a balcony from which to admire the amazing Alpine scenery. Rooms at the front of the hotel are much louder than those at the back. This is...

I've stayed at this charming hotel several times in the past. It is small and quaint with clean, comfortable and cozy rooms, dining area and bar. Breakfast was delicious and hearty with yoghurt, meats, cheeses, bread and more. Kandersteg is a beautiful town, and this centrally located hotel offers spectacular alpine vistas from bedrooms and patio. It's a 3 minute...

This place is what i would call a good average for Switzerland - on the plus side: central location (good starting point for hiking tours), good restaurant (incl a nice cigar room), friendly staff. On the not so good / average side: high price (like most other places in Switzerland), rooms are relatively small and a bit old. So, all...

This hotel is fine – typical European style etc. – we prefer the apartment style units which require a three night stay. You can walk everywhere very easily from this hotel – but the best part is on their dessert menu. Hot berries – do not miss this treat while you're there! It's one of our very favorites. There's a...

We stayed in one of the apartments and it was very spacious and nice to have room to sit outside on a deck and look at the beautiful mountains. The apartment was very clean with a refrigerator and dishwasher, table for meals, living room and nice TV. The linens definitely need to be upgraded as they were not very nice....

Great Little apartment style base for outdoor adventure day trips. What a beautiful area of Switzerland! This is a great "home-base" to hike, take a train to Spiez or Thun to bike along the water. So many activities to do in this area, and this is a great location to call home for a few days. Nice view from the...

If Kandersteg is a great place to go to, Chalet Adler is the last place you want to go in. It seems nice from the outside, but the inside reality is clearly different: dust, old devices and furniture, gloomy atmosphere, unpleasant service: everything added together that left a bitter taste in the mouth. Go to Kandersteg - find another hotel.

We stayed 2 nights in Kanderstag in one of the infamous "love rooms" at the Adler on the third floor. The room would have been cute enough with its rustic charm, but the Adler is unabashedly trying make this room romantic. There were candles, heart-shaped pillows, heart-shaped chocolates, and assorted heart-shaped decorations. The only thing that seemed out of place...
