The Sunstar Hotel Lenzerheide is in a quiet position in a wide upland valley, close to the idyllic Heid Lake. In the centre of the village, but off the main road, the hotel is the ideal starting point for walks. In winter, the ski slopes and cross-country skiing tracks reach to right outside the hotel. All the rooms have a balcony. They are decorated with light-coloured wood and offer every comfort to make your stay a relaxing and peaceful one. In the "Stoiva" half-board restaurant, guests are treated to a lavish breakfast buffet and then a specially selected 4-course dinner in the evening. The cosy Chami Bar is a meeting place for hotel guests and locals alike. Here you can have a friendly chat and a drink accompanied by live music and dancing. The indoor pool, steam bath and sauna are all designed to make you feel great. Lenzerheide is a resort with lots to offer, popular with active-holiday makers and gourmets.

We had a perfect week of skiing in Lenzerheide and especially in the Hotel Sunstar. Very attentive and friendly staff. The culinary package with a 4-course menu for CHF 61 is worth it: every evening there is a wide selection of meat, fish or vegetarian dishes. Plus a starter, soup or salad and dessert and/or fruit or cheese buffet. Very positive and to eliminate food waste: slightly smaller portions, but with the option to reorder. Also a large breakfast buffet that leaves nothing to be desired.
Very well-kept pool with three saunas and an infrared cabin. Relaxation room with loungers and a view of the snow-capped mountains. Including drinks and light snacks.

Comfortable hotel (bus stops adjacent to the hotel) with large and well-furnished rooms (in wood). It has a swimming pool (the water could be warmer...) and a spa (Turkish bath, saunas, massages). TOP breakfast!!! Sufficient restaurant... (with half board it can work!). Interesting price

Pleasant break, excellent staff > always helpful and friendly! Very animal-friendly hotel, highly recommended for dog owners. Menu could be improved though...
Spa area = unfortunately a bad concept... The relaxation room has a snack bar/tea, drinks etc. - while some people try to relax there, guests from the adjacent swimming pool keep coming and helping themselves. The door always slams shut with a lot of noise, teacups clatter like in a milk kitchen and discussions about whether there should be nuts or dried apricots as well...
:(((
Not much of the planned rest left.

Yesterday we had a little bite to eat on the terrace at the Hotel Sunstar. I then ordered a Grisons barley soup (speciality in Graubünden), then served a lukewarm water broth with some milk or cream in it and some barley, pure zero taste, absolutely terrible ! The service clerk didn’t even want to know if it tasted good when she was cleaning up. Never again....

We return to this hotel for the summer holidays but unfortunately unlike the previous experience, we can only save breakfast, acceptable room cleaning but a real disaster the food in the evening,, dishes practically arrived at the table cold, poorly cooked and presented, practically money wasted, the last two nights we preferred to dine out, luckily!!!!iin winter we will not return, too bad!!!

Location is good next to skibus stop and end of piste. Diner was sometimes good, sometimes mediocre. Rooms very warm even when heating switched off, could not open window due to noise from the street.

The value over price, is not there, too expensive.
Food was same entire week, even a la carte was not changed with very small choices and very sweet.
Breakfast was the same every day with small to no room for improvement.
Reservation for dinner moved because we were not enough. We should have been more than 3 in order to keep the reservation for dinner.
The staff was friendly, no question there.

The food is better than one would expect.
Far from the skilifts, but the skibus stops right outside the hotel.
It bothered me that having the second half of a red wine bottle the next day it was served at room temperature, maybe 23 degrees, each time. Otherwise restaurant service was excellent.

We were able to spend fantastic winter days in Lenzerheide and at the Hotel Sunstar. We were given a warm welcome and had a wonderful time. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, a very pretty little sauna/wellness area and fantastic cuisine. We would love to come back!

I stayed at this Sunstar Property on a 3-day ski offer. This offered excellent value for money at a wonderfully located facility that provided a fantastic base to kick off the ski season.
The location is perfect. 5 mins from the center of town and if you are travelling by public transportation as I was, they will pick you up from the bus station- No problem.
The hotel is also 5 mins walk from the ski bus stop and no more than 10 minutes walk from the closest lift, if the buses are full, or if you want a good warm up in the am...
The staff were friendly, professional knowledgeable and multilingual, as is the case with almost all Swiss hotels, but this hotel offered a few "surprise and delight" features that makes it stand out.
Breakfast is expansive with a variety of hot and cold options and starts at 0730 so that you can catch the first chair...Dinner had wonderful variety (including for vegetarians) and was professionally prepared and presented- So nice to have options OTHER than the standard "Cheese Fondue"
The hotel has a fantastic wellness facility with sauna and swimming pool that is great to unwind after a long ski day, or if the weather is ugly....
The ski boot room is big, well lit, warm, with ample space to store your ski kit, a place to tune your edges if so inclined, an outlet to plug in your electric boot liners of bags and enough room for several people to put on their boots and grab skis without feeling as if you are on top of each other. 24hr Access is controlled with your room card and you can exit directly into the garage so no need to clomp through the hotel in ski boots- Nicely designed.
Ski rental locations are across the street in case you forget something and there is a small grocery store for essentials at 200m
The wifi signal is excellent and you can use up to 3 devices with the option to add I believe up to 5
The Minibar in the room is stocked with a variety of soft drinks that are complimentary- HUGE for after ski snacking and a unique feature of SunStar properties...
There is no single supplement- Ever....Which is RARE in Switzerland (or anywhere)
And of course the room was immaculately clean, well laid out with multiple outlets to plug un all your kit and a beautiful modern bathroom WITH a balcony- Impressive.
Sunstar offers a variety of "all-inclusive" ski packages with takes an already strong hotel product and adds a serious value proposition. Worth investigating!

The description shows it as a „non-smoking“ hotel. I assume they don‘t want to imply that the hotel doesn‘t smoke (a sight to behold, I‘m sure), but that smoking IN the hotel is not allowed for guests and staff.
I‘d agree that this being an option when chosing a room is quite confusing.
