I found Hotel Cordee Des Alpes while searching on TripAdvisor. On a previous visit to Verbier with a larger group we stayed in a private chalet. For my return trip as a smaller group with my family, I was searching for a hotel that would have the same feel, without the considerable cost of a private chalet in Verbier. I chose this hotel based on the reviews posted by others on TripAdvisor, and they were accurate. This hotel has a boutique feel to it, although it is much larger than a typical boutique hotel. The lobby is spacious and a great area to relax in before or after you ski for a drink or read. There is a pool and a spa (although we did not use either as we were tired after skiing all day). They have a ski room where you store your gear, which made life very easy for us in the morning. It's very large so it was not cramped even when other guests were there getting ready. The room did not disappoint. As a family of four, we were provided two rooms which adjoined (rooms 209 and 210). It was enormous, well appointed and extremely clean. We did not feel cramped at all. The bathrooms are modern with nice amenities. The room had a fireplace (which we did not use as on most days it was unseasonably warm) and a terrace overlooking the mountain. We ate at the hotel restaurant one evening. We were told it was one of the best in town, and it's true. Very high quality Swiss/French cuisine. In the mornings, the restaurant is also where you have breakfast, which was also perfect. The food was delicious and the wait staff was attentive. The best part of the hotel, though, is the staff. Even before we arrived, May --one of the concierges, was taking care of our arrangements. Our restaurant reservations, airport transfers and lift tickets were all secured before our arrival. May was incredibly responsive to all of our inquiries and made us feel at home. Felix, Adrian and all of the other staff downstairs were equally excellent (there were many others --too many to list by name - I wish I could remember everyone's name). They truly made us feel welcome. We had an early flight out from Geneva, and had to leave before they served breakfast, and they made sure we had food and coffee waiting for us for our 2 hour drive to the airport. The term "above and beyond" is often overused in reviews, but in this case it is well deserved and accurate in describing the staff at this hotel. The hotel, while walking distance to many of the restaurants, and about a 15 minute walk to the Medran lift, has a convenient shuttle service which runs frequently to and from the main lift areas from the morning until early evening. Damian, Bastien and the other persons who drove us were there within minutes of our calling, and always quick to help us with our gear -especially with our two young daughters. I was not aware of this until we arrived, but Mountain Air ski shop has a satellite outpost in the hotel. Coincidentally, we rented our gear in advance from Mountain Air, which is one of the better equipped ski and snowboard rental places in Verbier. All we had to do is pick up our gear at their location right in our hotel lobby, which made it incredibly easy at the beginning and end of our trip. Special mention to Baptiste in the Mountain Air shop in the hotel. He was patient, friendly, knowledgeable and always there to help us with questions or modifications on our gear. He also spent a considerable amount of time with my daughters, helping them with their ski gear and giving them pointers. Without any hesitation I would stay again at this hotel when returning to Verbier. …
