We recently visited the Hotel Allalin as our honeymoon destination, and couldn't have picked a better hotel. We chose a half-board package through Thomson/Crystal Ski which allowed us to sample the excellent range of meals offered through the hotel restaurant (see separate review of the Restaurant Walliserkanne). Whilst not skiers, we enjoyed the location where we were able to walk...

We are two families of a total of 10 people and we stayed at the Allalin between Christmas and New Years. This was our second stay at the Allalin during the same period and we very much enjoyed our experience. The rooms are large and well equipped, both breakfast and dinner were consistently excellent and the staff is very accommodating...

We visited this hotel as part of a family group spanning three generations. It is fair to say that the hotel met all our needs. I use the word "outstanding" rarely but the Allalin deserves it in every respect. Our room was Immaculate, with the most comfortable beds we have experienced anywhere. The bathroom was beautifully appointed and provided with...

This isn't a fancy hotel (there are no glass cases full of expensive jewelery for sale, no ballroom, no uniformed doormen) but it is a very good one, and very good value. It is extremely clean and tidy, the beds and bathrooms are very good and the rooms simple but not sparse - they have safes, TVs, desks and armchairs...

Excellent location near the centre of the village. Lovely views across the village and up to the mountains. Very friendly family-run hotel, and the breakfast buffet offered so many options that you would always find something to go back for. Rooms and communal areas were spotlessly clean. Overall a fantastic place to stay for a short break or a long...

First class hotel. Food was superb, a real highlight; the rooms had an outstanding view and were comfortable and spacious; the staff were friendly and the owners played a real part in delivering the excellent service. The hotel is two minutes walk from the town centre and close to one of the cable cars. The resort is an excellent location...

This hotel cannot be faulted, the staff are so friendly and helpful and it is situated in the perfect location for fun on the slopes. The food in the hotel is also amazing. I'd definitely recommend the fondue (both cheese and meats). The staff made my sisters birthday really special and even tried to help us learn a new Swiss...

We stayed here for 7 nights on the Secret Escapes deal, and what a fantastic hotel. Lovely room, huge bed, bath big enough for two, walk in closet, amazing views. The evening meal is fantastic, 6 courses, and every evening was great. Breakfast was fine, and you get a packed lunch(sandwich and a peice of fruit) to take hiking and...
