Let me just tell You that, to me, the geographical site of my stay is as important as the hotel. As regards The Grand Hotel Kronerhof, I would call it a Palace. The reasons: excellence in everything, STAFF, always ready to help and give advice, from the Lady at the reception that showed me to my room at arrival with whom I had a nice chat, and the Lady that came to reset the room,Martha, from Poland, and all the staff at the concierge, at room service and at the restaurant and bar, who, like "Angels in Paradise", where always there with a smile; FOOD, genuine and tasty and of the best quality; the Finesse of the halls, the ceilings, the carpets, the chairs and armchairs and all the rest gave me the impression that I had entered the Engadine version of VERSAILLES. Will I return? Oh YES! …
This was our third time to stay at this hotel. We had friends joining us to extremely important, all would enjoy. This hotel caters to their guests. The service is fabulous, the rooms are all appointed and staff is exceptional. We enjoyed the spa and their services as well as the dining facilities. Our friends just thought it was a perfect place! Now they want to come back and bring other friends to enjoy the resort experience! Marc Eichenberger, the Manager of the resort hotel has certainly prepared his staff to delight the guests!
Grand Hotel Kronenhof is breathtaking in every sense of the word. It represents an impressive symbiosis of tradition and modern comfort. Every aspect of hotel services is brought to perfection, starting from cosy rooms, perfectly maintained and carefully tailored best to serve every guest's particular needs and preferences, to an incredible, formal but unburdening dining experience. The wellness area is among the best ones. It includes a swimming pool with a breathtaking panoramic view of the mountains. The lobby and the bar area were recently spectacularly refurbished. There's also a cigar room with a great choice of cigars and even better ambient. The hotel is very child-friendly with an exceptionally organised kids club and many creative children's activities throughout the week. The hotel is indeed, in its entirety, flawless. This is our third stay in the Grand Hotel Kronenhof, and we intend to make it our tradition to spend at least one week of our holidays in it every upcoming year. …
The views from just about any window are absolutely breathtaking! To top it all off the staff is all very friendly and they were all able to communicate with us in Spanish! We booked the meal packages for breakfast and dinner and the food did not disappoint. In our next visit we will only do breakfast to make sure to explore Pontresina and St. Moritz culinary scene a little bit more. Shuttles for the mountains are always on time the ski storage room is always clean and warm. Our room had a great view, and all the necessary heating options available. The best part of our stay is the service of the team, I can't speak any higher of Angel, Ernesto and Alexander. They recommended restaurants to dine in in St. Moritz!
Great hotel with beautiful location. The lobby is very inviting and super stylish, with nice cosy rooms and a great spa. Service is really dedicated to detail, very friendly and goes way beyond to accommodate special requests. We will be back.
We went to this hotel in July with a group of friends for 2 days, then we extended our stay for another 3 days. The property is a mid size hotel hidden in the middle of Pontresina, very well located, with beautiful mountain and river views. We had half board, and dinner was served in the grand ballroom, where everyone has to be dressed up, an opportunity for ladies to display their elegant wardrobe. So make sure to bring some with you. The breakfast buffet is gorgeous, with a magnificent selection of high quality fresh fruit, salad, ham, cheese, bread and all kinds of eggs to be ordered. The egg Benedictine is worth a try. We especially liked the Italian salami and made a special order to bring back home. Coffee is great. The staff are very professional and attentive. We mentioned our dietary restrictions before arrival, and all the restaurant staff were aware of them. The General Manager, Marc Eichenberger, always on site, and making sure personally that guests are well taken of, is doing a great job. When he talks about the hotel and its history, you can feel how passionate he is about his work! The hotel is nearby the Muottas Muragl. The free pass from the hotel allows you to take a cable car to go to the top, where is a hotel and restaurant with breathtaking views. From there starts a series of hiking trails suiting everyone. The hotel Spa area is stunning. A full size indoor swimming pool with adjacent smaller pools are the highlight. The premises are very well kept and maintained. Rooms are well appointed, classic, and with a modern touch. The small village of Pontresina is lovely. The hotel is a short drive away from St. Moritz, Pontresina’s big sister. Kronenhof is definitely our hotel of choice in the St. Moritz area.…
Kronenhof is a hotel where everything is perfect in a way you very seldom experience. It offers true luxury with a modern and relaxed atmosphere. It was the second time my husband and I visited the hotel and this time together with our daughter, her husband and two girls. They loved it too. We received an excellent and kind service by all members of the staff, our rooms (superior) were beautifully appointed and at the same time very cosy. The food in the Grand Restaurant was so delicious. Also, we enjoyed the newly renovated Bar with its dark blue and red colour scheme. We hope to be back soon!
Great ambiance, beautiful historic rooms, luxurious spa with sauna, Kneipp path and hammam and last but not least very kind and thoughtful staff, which is the biggest and most important part of a 5* hotel. We were well pampered and had a lovely time.
We booked the hotel very last minute as we had planned a trip to the UK but it got cancelled so we waned to cheer ourselves up. Well this is THE best place for that. The hotel is impressive as you drive up but even more so as you enter the wonderful reception and are greeted by the lovely staff,. As we arrived there was a man playing the piano in the lobby. Wow. Its like stepping back in time but with modern interiors. The spa was lovely, the treatments amazing. The room was so comfortable and spacious even though we just booked the standard room. The view out of our window was a postcard. Any question we asked was immedietly answered by Angel in reception, who was the friendliest man ive met in Switzerland :) Definately eat dinner once in the grand dining hall. The breakfast was incredible. We are coming back again.... and hopefully again and again!…
An indescribable atmosphere that is found only in the palaces of another era and who has transported us through centuries as magic. A special mention for the extremely friendly concierge and for all staff, including the bartender and pianist who helped make this two-day stay truly unforgettable. It also mentions for the beauty of the spa and the pool with an incredible view of the plain and the mountains.
