The hotel is a short walk from the centre of Cochem, very easy to find as it is on a major junction. Having said this Hotel is on a main route we were not disturbed by traffic of a night time. Our room overlooked the river, we had a balcony which we sat on during the evening. The views were...

Stayed here for one night on a road trip. Hotel has fantastic views from many rooms. Breakfast plentiful and very clean. Only downside was arriving on a Tuesday and the automated key release didn't work therefore owner came out within 30 minutes to sort this out. Bathrooms very small. Private parking and close to town centre. Definitely stay again

The hotel facilities are fine and so is the breakfast, but we had a very unpleasant stay because, at first, the room assigned to us had a strong smell (some chemical/cleaning product) that irritated our nostrils. Therefore, the man that "welcomed" us, that seemed to be the manager or something like that, gave us another room, one floor above (the...

We were so impressed with our one night stop in 2014 that we have returned to Stumbergers twice in 2015, a week in June and another in September where we had the self contained apartment. I think that says it all, we love this hotel. Friendly, clean, a great location, and with plenty of parking. The outside dining terrace under...

We have been travelling around Germany for 14 days, staying primarily at b&b's, and honestly comparing Stumbergers to others, it rates on the lower end for overall value. The room itself was spartan and had a funky smell that we soon discovered came from the bathroom. It was puzzling because the room and bathroom were very clean. We were on...

The hotel was clean, tidy, quiet. Service was very friendly. The room was on a smaller size but very tidy and clean, bathroom was outstanding and very spacious, everything was new and clean, nothing shabby. The room we were staying had a very large balcony with a view on the river and castle - very nice. Even thou the hotel...

The Hotel was fantastic along side the Rhine and our room on the front had a balcony where we could sit and watch the boats cruise up and down. The owner gave us a friendly welcome and looked after us very well. We used the restaurant which was outside as it was so warm. Parking was on site which was...

Thi was the first time we'd visited this area so were really just going on other people's reviews to choose a hotel. This hotel was overlooking the Mosel - ask for a room with a river view! The room was spacious and comfortable - the only downside was how hot the room got ( a mini heatwave whilst we were...

I stayed here as a solo traveller for two nights. The room was a good size, had a comfortable bed and a nice warm shower. My window, which opened, looked over the Mosel and in the morning it was beautiful. The breakfast, included, had a lot of variety, was health and tasty. The people who own the hotel were very...
