My review of the hotel Brixiade: Don't expect this (or its sister hotel, the Triton) to be a five star hotel. Our experience was bad from check in. But this cuts the cake. After a hot day out, we returned to find that the airconditioning doesn't work. And they say that they have to get a technician to come. And... More

We stayed for 2 nights in a river view room and it was beautiful to look out of the big windows or sit on the (small) balcony. Parking was easy after first having to go through a small entrance to a road to get down to the bottom street in a large rental car! We did not find the evening... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the Hotel Brixiade in July. The hotel is situated right on the side of the Moselle with fabulous views of the castle. The hotel is very comfortable, but probably needs a facelift in the near future. We found free parking very easy on the street, but the hotel does have an underground car park.... More

Great hotel, with superb location for the old town. The hotels in the centre either dont have parking or its expensive. The Brixade has ample free parking inside and out, and is a 5 min walk over the bridge into town, which makes a lovely walk back in the evening at the end of the day. ESSENTIAL: Pay a little... We have been in Cochem before on a driving holiday (2015) and had found a very nice place to stay, we never book ahead as we are in an old 1970s car and never know whether it will make it. The one thing we did not think to check was German bank holidays and when we arrived there were shall... More

I stayed in room 209 while on a bicycle trip from Saarbrucken to Koblenz. Although the staff was great as well as the breakfast, the room was by far the worst that we experienced along trip. I wish I could have rated it higher because of the employees but the room quality was just bad as was the view. Please... More

I must say, that I am dissapointed about this hotel. I got a dark room facing an absolute ugly and messy backyard and it could not be changed. Arriving at 20.30 I could just in time for having some dinner....kitchen closing at 21. I ordered a shrimpcocktail, but they forgot the shrimps!! When I mentioned it, the waiter offered me... More

We stayed at Moselstern Hotel Brixiade during our trip to Cochem and the Mosel Valley. It is a quaint hotel, right on the water with beautiful views, and has quite a selection for breakfast. The price was reasonable and the rooms were comfortable enough and actually roomy for European standards.

Nice clean hotel but a little dated. Food was excellent and the wine was even better! Most of the staff were very good and looked after us well, but they were let down by the reception lady on the last day who was unhelpful and rude.
