Loved the view from room. Small place but very friendly. Had a honor bar fridge near back door. Very quiet and comfortable. Typical European breakfast but plenty of coffee. Close location to everything including boat trips down the Rhine. Although this place is located right behind the car ferry we did not hear it. There are stairs to climb with... More

Nice room with comfortable bed. Need lighter weight duvet and some source of coffee during the day. Great location to catch ferry and hike to castle. I liked St. Goat better than other towns on Rhein because it had fewer tourists and the castle was open with good signage and walks.

We stayed here only for a night and enjoyed the comfort of a hotel with home stay style hospitality. The hotel interiors are beautiful with wood work, paintings and decorative items. Our room was on the top floor i.e. 4th floor. There are no lifts so please specify or check when booking for the floor of your room (in case... More

Great hotel. Convenient to train station and ferry or cruise piers. We had a room overlooking the Rhine River and could watch river traffic from there. The room was clean and quiet. The dining room was nice and breakfast was good. The only drawback was check-in, it doesn't open until 3:00 p.m. but we were able to get a leisurely... More

We stayed here the night of September 8th. The hotel is in an excellent location and the room and the view of the Rhine River were fantastic. The people running the hotel could not have been any nicer to us. There is not a elevator but the stairs were easy to do. Room very clean and neat. Again, we left... More

Stayed here in a twin room with a friend for three nights while we attended the Night of the Prog X festival at the Loreley Freilichtbühne amphitheater. The room was basic, but comfortable and just a sink - we used the shared bathroom. Everything was clean and we were given a key to come and go as we please. The... More

We stayed here as a couple for one night and it was one of the most enjoyable evenings of our trip to Germany. We got a room with a Rhine view and it's worth every cent - it's romantic, and there's pretty much no noise from the road or river, which surprised me. The room was quite big, clean and... More

Worth paying extra for the view across the Rhine to the castle. The room was large and comfortable. The included breakfast was tasty and fresh. The owners were very hospitable. Easy walk to the centre of St Goar which is small. Cash only payments and no check in before 2pm.

We stayed at Hotel an der Fahre for only one day. We had a great room with a Rhine view and were able to rent bikes for 10EUR each for the entire day. The hosts were great and the hotel is in a great location too. We'd recommend the hotel to anyone.
